actually in the united states it is illegal to remove any catalytic convertor. unless it is being replaced. so if the car comes with 2, it is unlawful to remove one or both. but, i've also read an article stating pollution maybe stopping ozone depletion... so IMO ur car, ur decision. i ran no muffler for serveral months...
most shops refuse to remove cats, b/c they can be fined i think 100 thousand or more for it.
this is an informative post and is not intended to be used against RRM or any company that states "off road use only".

Not sure what to think. Maybe your info should be posted in all header threads, RPW, Kamakazi, RIPP etc... and EVO 8 threads on highflow cats too. Just a thought but state to state guys are doing it and even passing smog tests with turbo kits from us. Ask Hotshot. He passed smog with Stage2 RRM turbo kit in his state! Wow! But

I'm with Rock.
I had an RRM header, and I removed my 2nd cat for a HFC.
It's not that we're saying "oh, don't do it!" We're saying "hey, it's illegal, so be aware of that."
Got it?

nothing is illegal in florida unless you get pulled over by a real dick of a cop. i have never once even been asked any questions about performance, hell, half the time they dont even ask for registration or proof of insurance, just your license.
