It'll be a big difference over the one in my ES.

Are you saying that you went around a course as fast as an STI would?

all the bars will be charcoal colored, no red, install is extremely easy and it is a big improvement, the es has a factory 18mm bar and the GTS has a 20mm bar. u will deff notice the difference, plus there are differnt mounting points so that u can change the handling dynamics of the car.

The bar is embedded so deep in the back, I think color will not be noticable so charcoal it is.

Can any1 enlighten me on the benefits of a rear sway bar? I am wondering how 2mm over the stock gts will make a significant differnce. I am thinking of picking up all of the tie, struss bars from RRM

Yes, that's what they said. Same driver, same course, the RRM-modified Lancer got times faster than an (stock, I believe) STI did.

This is a beefier bar that connects the rear control arms. When you go hard around a turn, this bar will help keep the wheels even (rather than having one lift). This will create more oversteer (the rear end of the car kicking out as you turn). Most FWD cars understeer (you turn the wheel, but the car tends to just keep plowing forward). This rear swaybar will help you turn better by countering the natural understeer. Once you get used to it, it will really help you take turns much harder and faster (because you can basically slide the rear end around the turn).

Yes, 2mm will make a difference. ES owners will obviously find a much more pronounced change, and the DE owners will lose their minds.

Make sense?

Thanks.

It helps that I'm a big swaybar supporter. After modifying my last two cars, I will honestly say that tires and rear swaybar are the two most important handling-related modifications you can make.
