RRM, (ROCK or Brian)
I see that the site has changed. Do you guys have any pics of the sway bar installed?

Quote: Yes, that's what they said. Same driver, same course, the RRM-modified Lancer got times faster than an (stock, I believe) STI did.

This is a beefier bar that connects the rear control arms. When you go hard around a turn, this bar will help keep the wheels even (rather than having one lift). This will create more oversteer (the rear end of the car kicking out as you turn). Most FWD cars understeer (you turn the wheel, but the car tends to just keep plowing forward). This rear swaybar will help you turn better by countering the natural understeer. Once you get used to it, it will really help you take turns much harder and faster (because you can basically slide the rear end around the turn).

Yes, 2mm will make a difference. ES owners will obviously find a much more pronounced change, and the DE owners will lose their minds.

Make sense?
Very well put.
Thanks, DJ.

I am confused as to why you guys want front sway bars? With a front wheel drive car like this all you need is a solid rear sway bar to be set.

FWD cars on street don't really need a front swaybar. IF you are running Motegi Speedway then maybe, but you are not so.........rear bar is where it is at.

Some people believe it helps. Even though it can promote understeer, a beefer front keeps the front wheels more connected.

As it is, the Lancer is rocking a 20mm or 21mm (GTS only) front. That's plenty big. The aftermarket bar I was considering for my Subaru is about that size (hence, you probably don't need one).

Yeah with that front one already on the GTS, I think the new RRM one in the rear will give it a very balanced setup

Does the ES come with a front swaybar? I also noticed on some pictures that the GTS has a front strut bar. Does anybody know where I can get these?

Pretty much every fwd econobox on the market today comes with a front sway bar. For the strut bar i wouldn't know. (RRM made a front truss bar instead didn't they?)
