ROAD/RACE- New brake pads for U.S. Lancer

We are now carrying a new brake pad for the Lancer. They are Axxis (Severe Duty) brake pads. They are not quite as aggressive as the R4-S but they are leaps and bounds better than stock replacement. Cost is a little cheaper too.

$79 a set

We have them in stock too! They will also go great with slotted rotors.

More stuff coming soon too!!!

Porterfeilds are actually a handmade pad that is why they sometimes need the knotches ground. Axxis pads are molded so they do not or should not need any grinding or fitment. I checked on this because I know it is a pain for everyone.

Picked up a set yesterday. They fall right in! They perform much better than stock. Never had the Porterfeilds but I know what you guys are talking about.

What kind of activties did you run the new pads through? Do you have the brake cooling guides? Do they fade less than stock? have more initial bite? How are they on the rotors? I have plenty more questions regarding braking, but i'll leave it at these for now.

So far we have tested them on Boe's car. Much better than stock now that they are bedded in. Wear on rotors should be similar. Initial bite is nicer than stock, same as Proterfield. As for heat, I quessing that they will not withstand as much heat as Porterfields but more than stock.

Rob, what are these pads made of? Are they a carbon pad, semi-metallic? When it's time to get rid of my Porterfields (which may be sooner than later with all the rubbing they do) I might want to try a different carbon pad before scrapping the idea and looking at alternative setups.

These are not carbon. IF your old ones rub it is becaue you did not install them as I told you. You need to file out around the clips more. Make sure pad floats in the caliper(between the clips). You will have no problems. Remember Porterfeilds are hand-made race pad. The Other pads we sell (Axxis) are not and require no fitment at all.
