That's not such a big hunk Of course, that's compared to the stuff I'm normally doing

rest assured that the next iteration of the perches will eliminate problems like the one above.

Thanks again for the input and the pics DJ, I appreciate it!

I snapped both of my RRM perches in half going long driving to Virginia.
Is this thicker than RRM? Any fitment issues?

instead of taking a chunk out of the perches. why dont you just re-hang the exhaust?? its not hard at all. or any muffler shop will do if for you for not much at all.

Because

A) in the middle of install, you do what you gotta to make it fit.

B) my solution was free.

it didnt take away from the structural integrety of the perches though? i ran into the same problems with the RRM perches because the shop that put my muffler on moved one of the hangers and i didnt know that till i put the sway bar on. all i did was grind off the hanger and re-weld it to another spot on the exhaust.

With these perches, a Peterbuilt probably couldn't hurt the structural integrity...

No, we just ground off a small section. I doubt it hurt it at all.

Look up "beefy" in the dictionary. Def 1 is Cartman in the Beefcake 4000 episode. Def 2: my sway bar perches. a little nick in the side like that isn't hurting anything

Buy a set so you can see for yourself!

Wish I can tell you, I know when I was driving from Va everything was fine until I hit some bumps on the road I can hear is my exhaust hitting the sway bar/bumper. Does cornering at high speed do this?

Approximately 35k miles, 50 autocross runs, 10 hours of open track time, numerous spin outs, and countless canyon runs, and I haven't had a problem with mine. I suppose if you were to be extremely harsh in the way you did it would put more strain then the smooth approach that a racer takes, but I would expect a rim to fall off before the perches fail!

I guess all of that is nothing compared to the potholes in NJ/NYC area
