Is there a sponsor that sells carbon fiber trunks? I know VIS sells them but the price is a little too much for me.

 

We were supposed to get some from someone other than VIS but guess what? Nothing yet just empty promises.

Don't make it attach on top of the stock pieces, actually make pieces that you take the stock ones out and put the cf ones in. You will have to attached clips on the back of the inserts.

I'm gonna be looking into a local carbon fiber shop, to see if they can make some for me, but something custom might be more expensive than something that is always being produced for more cars.

 

Check out the thread from Sleek Concepts and Design, Tim from there is in the process right now for making one, almost done I believe, mold is made, just waiting on the carbon to come in.

 

We do cover stock interior pieces (no sticky stuff) with CF but it is a little expensive cause it is hard to do. Kontra tried it on his car a had a lot of trouble. I think he gave up and bought an STI.

I am already considering doing more CF in the new car. Already got a CF armrest cover and should be doing all the pillars as well soon...

Just gotta find someone with some custom engine pieces for the WRX....

doing good...lots of work, been a long time since i had to start a new project, but it is certainly fun!!! Should be done in time for SEMA in November.
