Good to hear you have some new goodies.
was planning on getting the reat strutbar since i just finishes 2 2 week paychecks with over 135 hours each but now i will have to get both the rear strut and lower one as well(i never likes the look of the one from RMR anywhoos and after seeing the flex of theit rear strutbar...makes me wounder about quality)

now time for me to wish and ask...

any plans on maybe devloping a camber plate?
i know you have the adjustable ones but would be a lot easier to have the plate right up top.
just a thought since there dont seem to be any out there for our car yet

Aside from the JIC camber plates, which may or may not work on non-JIC suspensions, I got word from Shaggy (do you remember him from Cal Slam I?) that Cusco Evo7 camber plates will work. I'm waiting on my new promotion to make an order, but for under $300, it beats the JIC price by over 100.

Camber plate is more of a race guy thing. Alignment kit we have can be used the same way though to get more negative camber out of front wheels.

Rob's right, camber plates are for people that need a lot of camber and better dampening, and understand that their tires are going to wear fast because of it. I'm looking to get -3 degrees up front, which is twice as much as you would ever want for daily driving.

Just to answer your questions anyway, the JIC setup with camber plates is $1900 The camber plates are $380 alone The Cusco ones are around $300.

For comparison, the camber kit from Road///Race is only $90 and gives you I think at least -1 degree, which is plenty for the street. I've been driving and racing with that for almost a year now.

Thanks for the info. I think I will go with the Tein coilovers once I start upgrading the suspension. As far as front camber goes, whats the desirable camber? Same as factory recommended settings?

Factory settings are almost non existant. Front is not adjustable, so camber is whatever the hell it happens to be when they put the car together. Best bet is get the Teins on and a Road///Race camber kit, then set it to -1.0 front and -0.5 rear. I really think you will like the handling and tire wear at about that setting.

Isn't Urban always right when it comes to suspension questions?

Another thing to remember is that the full coilover setup is really the only way to go right now until companies like Tokico/KYB/Koni get on the ball and get some adjustible struts for our car.

actually, I've been wrong a couple of times. I am learning much more about strut bars, sway bars, etc. and how they affect handling, flex, body roll, etc. on www.sccaforums.com But I like to share the knowledge here
