sorry if this is a repost:
Yeah, remember the red evo the police clocked doin 150mph and they couldn't seem to catch him? Well, lets just not hope they don't switch to sTI cop cars...

The greatest job ever. Drive an STI all day as fast as you want and bust people for doing the same thing.
I heard on another forum that the STI is modded and is shown in the shop in the first pic.

There is a federal mandate that all law enforcement vehicles have to be of domestic origin. So in other words, it might be a promotional car, but you'll never see them mainstream.
P.S., I'd also be more worried about the 400HP police GTO's chasing me down at 150MPH than an STI.

i heard a while back on the local news that Vancouver Washington, had gotten a lease donation on a WRX. they lowered it, and put exhaust on it, and tint, and rims. anyway, it was bright yellow, and they were going to have it for 3 yrs. serves dumba$$' right.

Makes for a great police car. Tons of room in the back, plenty up front for computer and gear, and a nice big cargo area for EQ.
Law enforcement vehicles yes, no one will be getting speeding tickets, or that sort from a foreign car, those movies with detectives and federal agents driving BMWs and what not...that's possible, so just don't kill anyone or commit treason and try to run from the law in your Evos...has anyone heard about the Lambo cop cars in Italy...changing the subject here...
Cops may not be switching to imports, but they REALLY need to dump the Crown Vics. I'm sure a department or two has an SRT-4, at least for show, and there are plenty of 'Vette and 'Stang cops out there, even a few Vipers. The Magnum would make a good cruiser, too.
Would cops ever switch to domestically-owned imports, such as an RX-8 or such?

Our cops drive Impalas and Yukons. Down at school I see highway patrol in camaros.
Lambo donated one Murcielago to patrol their fastest road or something like that. Whoever the lucky bastard is that gets to drive it will probably wreck it anyway.

I agree. Faster cops cars would be cool... but.. when it comes down to it. A crown vic is going to hold up better (or atleast cost less to fix) when it comes down to putting metal to metal with a criminals car.
