Trade in my Z?
Well, im very much leaning toward trading my 350z in for an Evo 8. First i want to try to find a used Evo8 so i can lower my $400 payments. Second, I really wanted something with a backseat. Third I wanted a car that doesnt cost so friggin much to tune (Z). I love the look of the Evo8, even when others think it isnt that great, and its gonna be very nice being able to smoke anything out there. The only thing i dont like is that im gonna miss the low end torque and 6 speed tranny. I cant afford an MR or otherwise I would have gone for that. Anyway, what do you guys think? Comments and advice would be appriciated!
thnx

you'll forget all about that z when you first hear "ppppssshhhhhhhhhhtttt!!!"
i went from an n/a supra (comparable to a Z), and i love my evo! backseat AND a trunk. great handling, no worries about losing control in nasty weather - AND - my insurance went down. but in the end - go with what your gut tells you, you'll be happy in the long run!

I had a 350Z. I liked it for what it was, but deep down I wanted a turbo car since they are a better bang for the buck (had 2 Mitsubishi turbo cars prior to the Z).
Anyways, the Z turned to be a lemon and had Nissan buy back the car. It was the best thing that could've happened to me. By then the EVo's looks grew on me big time. A good friend had one and everytime I saw it, I wanted one.
I dropped off the Z and picked up my EVO the very next day. It's nothing special when stk (well, as fast as the Z stk), but spend $1000 wisely and the car wakes up and is faster than the Z with the same $1000.
You will not regret your decision, and it's not a bad idea to look for a slighlty used EVO for lower payments. AND you have four doors, a backseat and a much larger trunk.
Good luck

The Z is a lot harder to extract power from without going FI. And either an S/C or TT kit run 5000 and up. With that much in an EVO, you'd be much more pleased with the results and tunability.
