I've had an '01 ITR, supercharged it.....and put big brakes on it as well. GREAT track car, very predictable and ZERO torque steer with about 220whp....but you'll have to dump some serious cAsh into it to get it to run as hard as a stock EVO...let alone a modded evo. Spend the money and get the EVO.

Check insurance before you decide.

I used to own an Integra GSR and paid $1000 more on insurance a year over the Evo.

now if its a true ITR and it is RHD, i would jump all over it. RHD's are a kick it the pants, once you get used to shifting with your left hand and not your right

This should be interesting, I will bet some of those guys are wanting EVO's

That Forum is dead no traffic since Nov 10

I will check honda-tech.com
Evo is a lot better! ITR sucks! You're like comparing 20 dollars to 10 dollars. How come 20 dollars is bigger than 10 dollars? EEH?

EVO all the way!!!

the itr is a great car, but the people here have made a good point about the theft risk and everything. i would highly recommend an evo, but as i'm sure you're aware, you're going to have a great time with the itr as well. i think its really a matter of whether you want to spend the money.... and warranties are nice. plus, its hard to compare a brand new car to a 7 year old car.

Really it depends on ur Taste ..
they Are Diffrent Cares ..... Diffrent Performance ..
if u are lookin for a kick *** performance Car .. The EVILoution would be the choose ..
or ur a VTEC fan .. enjoy .. a nice ride and doesnt really Attrackts peoples Attention .. get the ITR ...

when it comes to racin .... hmm just a Bad Idea .. the Evo would Smoke the livin hell out of the ITR ...
and Remember .. The Evo is Made for Performance .. and it Can Take Out Cars Twice its Price .....

In California, Honda's and Acura's just have higher insurance cost for full coverage.
Integra GSR and Type R is the worst as too many young kids drive them and these are hot cars to steal and race and crash.
When I called to check how much an Evo will cost, my Farmer's agent told me $900 less than my Integra GSR and I was like are you sure it's the Evo with the turbo and he said yep the turbo with AWD. Week later, I traded in my Integra for the Evo and now with better coverage, I'm paying $1000 less a year since the rate went $100 down when I renewed last month.
All this means is that, Farmer's insurance consider the Evo as a safe car and car that is less likely stolen. But all this could change if Evo's sold like Integra's but I don't think it will ever get to that point.

Thank you for all the thoughts. I like both for different reasons. looks like I am going to get a great deal on a 05 RS. I just hate taking the new car hit, EVO is a hard car to buy used.
