EVO or Integra Type R?

I hated to ask but here are my thoughts.

buy a new 05 RS for 30k and take the new car depreciation, Evo performance ect.

Get a 1997 Integra Type R (1 of 318) for one half the price of used EVO. Honda Relibility, good re-sale, no-torque, pocket about 15 grand.

maybe this like comparing apples to oranges.

My wife is whispering EVO in my ear.

Depends on what you really want. EVO = AWD Turbocharged insane performance. The ITR = FWD mediocre performance (straight line), and only decent (comparitively) handling.

It's a no brainer to me. But do what you will.

I think I will stroll over to the ITR club and see what they say?

This should be interesting, I will bet some of those guys are wanting EVO's

That Forum is dead no traffic since Nov 10

I will check honda-tech.com

why dont you just get what car you want, instead of causing uproars and asking for opinions.

Both cars are nice, but, both cars are completely different.

you're comparing a fat woman to a skinny woman.

If you get the ITR, it will be stolen within a week. That rare of a Hunduh with the ease of stealing a Hunduh not to mention the ease of pulling out a B-Series Block=Bye Bye car.

I would go with the Type R, cause fwd launches /wheel hops are awesome and do wonders to your 1/4 mile time......PLUS ITS A TYPE RACE!

as much as Mitsubishi is having problems, i still think you should go EVO. i mean, no matter what you do to an Integra, it'll never feel like an EVO. you belong in an EVO, stop fighting it!!

You are right I just had a bad ownership experience with the 04, and hopefully the 05 will not have the SES problem.
It is possible to get both, The Honda would make a great car to drive to work. I dont have to worry about theft, They have High security.

This is true I owned a 2001 and sold it with 5000 miles because of this. WE could not leave it unattended at a Mall or Movie. Pain in the rear. The emblems last about a week.

I've had 97 R too. Trackin the R is a lot cheaper.
1. good rotors are $34 a piece
2. better gas mileage
3. race tires are a lot cheaper(15" in 17")
4. you can make it weight 2400 easy
5. 8400 stock redline?

But i live in a dead **** town, so i really wasn't worried about theft.
