Well I have thought about the skyline, but im really not a fan of what the concept is heading towards. Then again the concepts always come out looking different. There is still too much up in the air about the skyline to throw it in this catagory.

I was basically going to get a $30+K car and mod it, but for what I would spend in mods it would bring it up to around $50+K which is what the new Z06's are going for.

The skylines price, engine, and finished styleing are yet to be determined.

Im talking about last years/or this years 6.0 model when I say convertable. Sorry I guess I should have clarified, but I thought everyone knew what I was talking about. 400hp + supercharger=500whp

When I say coupe I mean the new model coupe with the 7.0 500hp in it though, very tempting. YUMMY!

I also wish the Z06 cost around 50k. In reality, the new C6 cost more than that, around 55k out the door. The New C6 Z06 will cost at least 70K+.

Yeah thats how I figured the $50K+ for the 6.0. I dont know the exact price of the 7.0 version, but money is not really the factor here. The basic 6.0 starts at around $47K (non convertable)and up and im sure the 7.0 version is probably $60K++.

Just more of what style would everyone go with, and why they would go that route.

Wow, thats a pretty big jump in price. Wonder how much it would be to just drop the 427 into the convertable and be done with it.
Lets see $60K+ $15-20K= yep paying the same either way, lol

You don't want to drive any of these cars in the snow anyway.
Where the h*** did you see a ZO6 for under $10k? I don't even think a used one would go for that much!

They DO NOT MAKE A Z06 CONVERTIBLE

Also, the Z06 is not an LS1

It's an LS6

The new Z06 is an LS7

I also don't think you'll be able to just bolt on a supercharger to it since the compression ratio is 11.0:1 from the factory.
Wow, I stand corrected. Your right, there seems to be no intention of making a convertable at this time. Well lets just say a convertable from last year or a new Z06 for this year, thats not the point. Its about haveing a corvette with 500+whp whether its the 6.0 or the 7.0 engine matters not to me. The coupe looks pretty nice to me, im not dead set on the convertable by no means.

Can you imagine Lingenfelter getting a hold of it? Imagine a supercharged or a twin-turbo version!

They do wonders with corvettes, but I think it would be a little to much power to keep it as a daily driver. Its been awhile since I been to there sight and their prices seemed a little high, but the work they do looks awsome. Im sure with their set-up would be pushing out some crazy #'s. Too much for me though, like I said before, I would just like it to be in the 500whp range because thats more than enough for me.

I love how this poll is going. I appreciate everyones choices and reasons. Thanks alot and keep the votes comeing.

Lingenfelter has C6 packages already. With them, the sky's the limit, but 500 WHP will set you back about $10k.

They have a 480 crank HP package for $7k.

If you want something unique and insanely powerful, check out the Lingenfelter commemorative C6 - 725 HP TT LS2. I've talked to a few Lingenfelter owners; even in the 600-700 HP range, they're very driveable and reliable.

If your talking about the new C6 ZO6, its in a totally different price league than an EVO or a G35 at 500hp.

If you can afford the new ZO6, id get that, no question at all. Knowing GM, its prolly underrated at 500 hp to keep insurance at bay. Heads and a cam on that thing and youl put down well over 500 at the wheels with no problem. Forget the supercharger.

If it were me though, Id just get the Z06 and not do anything to it. Its fast already and you can keep the warranty. 500 whp? Do you really need to run 10's on your commute to work? Is there a lot you can do with 500 whp that you cant do with mid 400's which is what you would get in a new zo6?
