EVO 8-9, Z06, or TTG35
BTW...I havnt done any research on it, but I would highly doubt that the G35 dtrain can handle 500 hp. Youl prolly have to put in a whole new tranny, rear end, axles, hubs, driveshaft, etc. Not to mention all the cooling requirements, brake upgrades, etc.
Just get zo6 coupe. Forget the convertable. Youl have the G35 in the shop forever trying to fix it up.

If you want something unique and insanely powerful, check out the Lingenfelter commemorative C6 - 725 HP TT LS2. I've talked to a few Lingenfelter owners; even in the 600-700 HP range, they're very driveable and reliable.

I dont mind the wait, if it takes 6-12 months to build a car, it would be well worth it in the end. I dont expect this to happen in a couple of weeks. You are not looking at the question rather than nit picking what the car would need and what not. I would modify the car completely to reach the 500whp goal. Im not going to half step, so money is not the issue here.
Mercenary, what makes you think the stock tranny cant withstand 500whp. Are you just saying this cause you know, or your just dont want to believe the tranny will do it. Its not a crap tranny by any means so before you doubt it cant handle it do some reasearch. It is handleing 400-500whp in many cars to date and none of them have complained of tranny problems yet.

If you can afford the new ZO6, id get that, no question at all. Knowing GM, its prolly underrated at 500 hp to keep insurance at bay. Heads and a cam on that thing and youl put down well over 500 at the wheels with no problem. Forget the supercharger.
If it were me though, Id just get the Z06 and not do anything to it. Its fast already and you can keep the warranty. 500 whp? Do you really need to run 10's on your commute to work? Is there a lot you can do with 500 whp that you cant do with mid 400's which is what you would get in a new zo6?

Do I really need to run 10's on the way to work? NO, WHO SAID I DID
Im not trying to sound like an azz, but do you really need an EVO to go to the grocery store? I mean, why would you need a 4cyl rally turbo that handles like a beast to go get your groceries.

It really wouldnt be fair if I compared a 500hp EV0/TTG35 to a lingenfelter twin turbo vette with 700whp now would it.
I would definitly stick with the evo. No disrespect to the other great cars, but 500whp on 4 sticky rubbers are still better than 2. The vette probably sounds nicer though.
Who do you guys think would win around the track? a real track with sharp turns aswell as sweepers.
