BTW...I havnt done any research on it, but I would highly doubt that the G35 dtrain can handle 500 hp. Youl prolly have to put in a whole new tranny, rear end, axles, hubs, driveshaft, etc. Not to mention all the cooling requirements, brake upgrades, etc.

Just get zo6 coupe. Forget the convertable. Youl have the G35 in the shop forever trying to fix it up.

I voted Evo because I dislike convertibles (Honda S2K being rare exception) otherwise I'd pick a Z06 coupe.

If you want something unique and insanely powerful, check out the Lingenfelter commemorative C6 - 725 HP TT LS2. I've talked to a few Lingenfelter owners; even in the 600-700 HP range, they're very driveable and reliable.

Lingenfelter packages are nice but very expensive. Their cars are marketed for people who have a lot of money and just want to give thier car to a reputable person without shopping around or really figuring out the best way to reach a hp goal.

As with most things in life, you get exactly what you pay for. Surely you can get an arbitrary horsepower figure for less, but with Lingenfelter you get reliable, driveable power. That's not good for magazine racers, but if you're actually going to drive the car, they're worth the coin.

Well if I do the G35 I would most certainly do the other upgrades, brakes, cooling, and other components that need be replaced. Come on man do you really think this is my first rodeo.I dont mind the wait, if it takes 6-12 months to build a car, it would be well worth it in the end. I dont expect this to happen in a couple of weeks.

You are not looking at the question rather than nit picking what the car would need and what not. I would modify the car completely to reach the 500whp goal. Im not going to half step, so money is not the issue here.

Mercenary, what makes you think the stock tranny cant withstand 500whp. Are you just saying this cause you know, or your just dont want to believe the tranny will do it. Its not a crap tranny by any means so before you doubt it cant handle it do some reasearch. It is handleing 400-500whp in many cars to date and none of them have complained of tranny problems yet. I have seen 700hp or more supras with stock tranny, so if they can why cant this one. Im not saying its the same as the supra tranny, but jeeeez give the little bugar a chance.

If you can afford the new ZO6, id get that, no question at all. Knowing GM, its prolly underrated at 500 hp to keep insurance at bay. Heads and a cam on that thing and youl put down well over 500 at the wheels with no problem. Forget the supercharger.

If it were me though, Id just get the Z06 and not do anything to it. Its fast already and you can keep the warranty. 500 whp? Do you really need to run 10's on your commute to work? Is there a lot you can do with 500 whp that you cant do with mid 400's which is what you would get in a new zo6?
Do I really need a car that can run 10's if I want it to? YES, ABSOLUTELY
Do I really need to run 10's on the way to work? NO, WHO SAID I DID

Im not trying to sound like an azz, but do you really need an EVO to go to the grocery store? I mean, why would you need a 4cyl rally turbo that handles like a beast to go get your groceries.

I just want a 500whp daily driver, no more/no less. I think that is plenty of power for a daily driver. The point of this poll was to just see who would pick what car(all the cars being 500whp) and why they would pick it. The Z06 being the only car to leave stock or minor upgrades.

It really wouldnt be fair if I compared a 500hp EV0/TTG35 to a lingenfelter twin turbo vette with 700whp now would it.

With the new 427 Z06 coming, I would do it just for the dry sump oiling system.

I would definitly stick with the evo. No disrespect to the other great cars, but 500whp on 4 sticky rubbers are still better than 2. The vette probably sounds nicer though.

Who do you guys think would win around the track? a real track with sharp turns aswell as sweepers.

^It depends on the track.

I like keeping my crankshaft pulley, so no ZO6.

TT G35 got my vote, because it's far more rare.

I know this has already been pointed out, but why not get a 500whp convertible EVO?

They sell them at the same dealership that has the convertible Z06's.

From one noobtard to another - stop the madness.
