Which would you pimp?
500+whp EVO 8 or 9
500+whp Corvette (sorry had to edit- 6.0 or Z06 7.0 coupe)
500+whp Twin turbo G35
Basically Im trying to get some opinions here on which car (horsepower being equal) would you choose. I value everyones opinion and will take it into consideration. Please no bashing of other peoples post.
Im looking for a 500+whp daily driver and im torn between which one to choose.
Let me explain a little further into detail of what I would do to each if I were to purchase that particular car.
The EVO I would go with the GT35R kit, build bottom end, med head work, cams, clutch, aem, exhaust, etc, etc............
The G35 I would twin turbo, build bottom end(sleeved), cams, clutch, engine management, exhaust, etc, etc............
The Z06 I would probably just leave stock or do a supercharger kit, K n N, and an exhaust and be done with it.

The EVO is a rally based AWD 4cyl, while the G35 is a luxury based RWD 6cyl, and the Z06 is a RWD 8cyl sports car. Three completely different vehicles.
I love the interior and styleing of the G35, but as far as handleing its no match without upgrading the stock suspension and even then im not too shore it would be up to par with the other two.
I love the styleing of the Z06 and im ok with the interior, the suspension is pretty dam good and I like the stock performance of the V8. Though it would probably get supercharged do to my lack of never knowing when to quit.
I have always liked the EVO'S for how well they handle, and how they can tear threw a race track, and nothing beats the feeling of an AWD launch. Im ok with the interior, but I would probably change the front bumper to a different look(need room for the big front mount anyway, right).
All I ask for is your honest opinion for which you would choose, and im pretty much saying act like all three 500+whp cars were sitting in front of you with the keys in them and you could take anyone you want. Hey I said one, dont get any ideas.

I voted for the Z06, since your car is intended to be a DD. My experience with 500 HP Evos is that they're pretty finicky, and I'm guessing a TT VQ35 wouldn't be a lot better. 500 HP from an LS1 is minor tuning, so I'd guess it'd be the one that's most driveable.

I'd say if you live in NY (I'm guessing) the z06 convertible will be great 65% of the year, and then you'll be wishing you had the Evo... Is that c5 or c6?
Edit: I guess the NY isn't NewYork... I see now it's Evo on your ***...

do you plan on having more than one passenger? I would take the evo because it offers the most interior space out of the 3 choices, and it's a practical daily driver (if 500 awhp is possible for dd evo).
I would take Z06 if I don't have to deal with snow or any other unpleasant weather, and if it's my second car.

I voted for the G35 TT b/c those are the SEXIEST cars on the road. I voted for that initially thinking it was the TT Skyline coming out soon. But if it's just a G35 upgraded I'd stick with Evo for the suspension and all wheel drive. But the Evo is more practical in the winter if you switch tires.

Are you talking about the new C6 Z06 which make 500hp stock? If so, its a no brainer, get the Z06 and leave it stock, Its the fastest production car ever made under $10k, run mid 11 without any mods, full factory warranty, better resale value than put tons of money in a crazy modified evo or 350Z. You don't want to drive any of these cars in the snow anyway.

probably the ZO6 if they made it in a convertible, but if i had to pick a 500 horsepwoer daily driver, assuming you had the cash, i probably would get a skyline r-34 GTR.,

thats a tough one.. on one hand you have the gruesome power of the ls1.... on the other you have a crazy turbo setup. imo, turbo is just way more fun. but if it's a DD, then the vette would be the way to go.

I really doubt the new Z06 is going to be a convertable, everything I've read so far says it isnt at least. Here is one thread concering the new Z06:

I also don't think you'll be able to just bolt on a supercharger to it since the compression ratio is 11.0:1 from the factory.

The weather for my area really isnt in the equation and if it boiled down to it I would drive my girls X5 on a day with bad weather.
(Opps I stand corrected)The convertable 6.0 400 hp, hence the supercharger to bring it up to 500whp, but they also have the coupe 7.0 500hp version. If there are any issues with the new vette im sure they will be worked out through warranty issues. Im pretty sure you will be able to supercharg a new Z06, might not be able to boost more than 5-7 psi, but then again knowing me it would get bottom end work done and end up with twins or charger on it purrring out a nice 700whp. I really would be happy with just 500 whp though, because I think its the best all around streetable power without going overly insane without traction. 700 might be a little bit, lol.
Im in love with the G35 looks and twin turboing it would just be iceing on the cake. So far, with sleeveing these engines and lowering the compression, the outlook for power is very nice. This engine with work done to it is capable of upwards of 1000hp and with only wanting 500whp it would be well under what it could handle.
The EVO is just plain sick ride to have 500 hp in it and yes im more concerned with the reliability on the EVO motor than the other two. The EVO motor at 500 whp wouldnt be pushing the limits, and I know 4G63 are notorious for being able to handle alot of horsepower, but at a cost to transmission, axels, or other powertrain components. I do want to be able to drive in the rain if needed without traction issues and thats where the EVO shines. Im not sure how a 500whp EVO does in the rain, so anybody's input that has that much power would greatly be appreciated.
Im thinking the new Z06 already haveing 500hp from the factory and just throwing basic mods on it would be most reliable hands down.
