If you were to get a car besides the EVO, which would it be?

Maybe you guys don't get the ****ing point here. You can drive an Evo every day. It has lots of space, and a decent level of country. I would like to see the guy who enjoys driving an Elise every day. An Elise is basically a race car, same with the Atom. Might as well compare an AC Cobra to an Evo. They're not similar just because they are performance cars. I would also like to see the guy looking at Elises and Evos at the same time.

^ Well put. The question was "If you were to get a car besides the EVO, which would it be?" Nowhere in there do I see anything about being similar. I bought my evo without any regard for anything except it's performance. I could care less about the back seats or the trunk, neither of which I hardly ever use. The evo is simply the best all around performance I could buy for the price I paid.
Furthermore, the RS is not that dissimilar from the Elise bar drivetrain and number of doors. Stiff suspensions, very few power accessories, etc. In my eyes, I see the elise and the evo as being very similar cars, and both geared toward the enthusiast. Considering your responses, it seems the only appropriate answer in your eyes would be an STi.
Yes, I drive my evo everyday. Lots of member on here drive their evos everyday. Many of them put up with stiffer coilovers, no A/C, I even know a guy who's had his STi for over a year and he still doesn't have a radio. He spends his money on performance mods. How is this so different from owning an Elise. Sports cars are all about compromises, be that space, comfort, amenities, whatever. If you can envision driving an evo everday, but you can't imagine driving an elise everyday, then maybe you should seriously consider the astro van. It looks from your profile that you don't own an evo. If you are buying one because it has room, is 'granny-friendly', and has a "decent level of country", then you, my friend, are buying it for all the wrong reasons.
Evos are for drivers. Elises are for drivers. IMHO, that is all they need to be considered similar, not that it's pertinent anyway.
BTW, if you wanna see the guy that would enjoy driving an elise everyday, search for the "Post pics of yourself" thread. I'm in there

It's paying homage to that old school design, see?
