If you were to get a car besides the EVO, which would it be?

Another vote would be for a Volvo S60R. My dad has one and it's sweet. Six speed manual, awd, 300 hp turbo, cockpit adjustable ohlins suspension, dynaudio sound, and soft, soft leather. Sweet ride. It only came out to around $38K with all the discounts. Great value for money.

I sold my E46 M3 for the Evo. It didn't handle better and didn't ride much better either. Too much understeer and lean in the corners and all top end. The E36 M3 was a much better package than the E46, but still doesn't outhandle the Evo in my opinion.

The Audi S4 & Acura TL are a couple of my favorites right now.

That's part of the appeal! It's a monster but no one suspects. With the Evo everyone expects you to drag race them at every light. Amusing sometimes but it gets old. I love sleepers... the only thing holding me back is finances, not image or whatever. I don't get caught up in that crap, that's why I drive an evo and everyone thinks I'm an immature child.

To paraphrase Tom Green in "Road Trip": Hey, this is my dream! I was in sweden a couple months ago and the volvo clubs there have some pretty impressive machinery. Yes, they're safe cars, but they're also really fast ones. Volvo has more turbos in their cars than any other manufacturer. Speed = safety when used judiciously.

as much as i would like to ride in a nice plush lux car that's also quick and handles decent, i don't think i would get one. i would feel sooooo old. most of my friends of my age (27) all got stuff like g35, is300, a4, maxima, tl-s back when i only had my teg. when i got the evo, they were all like "whoaa, damn dude!" and what's funny is that most of those cars are within evo's price range, yet they never made me go "whoa, you got that car?! daamn"

if anything, i would get m3 as far as nice interior and performance. RL is very nice too, but just as expensive. i would prefer to get something fun, yet simple, not too expensive and a driver's car. i'm very fond of my teg, so i would get a type-r. it doesn't have anything fancy, extremely reliable, decent gas mileage, and lots of fun to drive. one of the coolest performance FWD ever made. and if you think i sound like the "tYt3 vT3cH" crowd, up yours hehehe. another nice lil driver's car to beat on that i would get is mazdaspeed miata. basically something that i wouldn't be afraid to abuse. for something more powerful and pricey, tt supra or rx7(one of my friends has one, teh h0tn3ss!). so yea, my choices aren't anything super expensive and lux, just nice lil cars that can be lots of fun to drive without much care for interior.
