I work at a Mazda Dealership as a salesman and they are going to be briefing us on the information of the Mazdaspeed6 soon. When I find more info on the car, I'll post something...

Looks like its gonna be heavy and the direct port FI is gonna make it hard to tune.

Its not a bad lookin car, but I think I'd have to stick with the evo.

Yeah, the Mazdaspeed6 is definitely not the same type of car as our beloved Evo. Infact, according to mazda, they directed it at more luxurious cars such as the 3 series (stuff like that...).

I think it is going to be a great car, but more of a "touring" type car than an all out assault vehicle like the Evo.

I don't like it at all.

it would make a great boat, or grandma car.

If youre considering selling your EVO for one... you shouldn't have bought an EVO in the 1st place.

Okay okay I was gonna say something about how cool the car is (I'd heard a lot about it before this) but after watching that video, I can deduce at least two things: 1) It definitly has a more "3 series" like suspension set up (OMG look at the body roll!!!) 2) That guy sucks *** (just in general, not nessicarily driving, but all the dumbass things he says), and the people riding with him suck even more (OMG HOLY SUXORS WE'RE GONNA CRASH)... though, giving rides to people like that is lots of fun.

Anyway, I think after a short while they'll be much more of "contenders" for the STi and Evo than the Cobalt, Redline, and SRT-4... but that's just from the little knowledge that I have. I don't think they'll be stomping the things the STi and Evo can stomp on tracks, but it looks to me like some real good stiff suspension, wide R-compound tires, and a good alignment that the thing will be able to hold it's own... at least compared to all of the other Mazda vehicles in our cars' area(s) of expertise. I think it'll be right there with the SRT-4 when they finally put AWD on it... This is all IMO though.

All I have to say is, if you like FORD then go ahead and purchase the car. Basically this is a domestic ford car with a mazda exterior look. In my opinion FORD sucks, but I donno, you might like this car...
