STI Spoiler Crap?

I was on the freeway and this STI rolls by me doin about 70 and i look at his spoiler and its like wobbleing up and down. It looks like crap. Is it? Ive seen an evo movin past me at that speed and faster and never noticed the spoiler doin the same thing. . . Those spoilers are ugly, must be crap right?

Thought they always looked cheap. Would that make it less effective at higher speeds then? It wouldnt have a negative effect like make the car swerve around or anything right? Stupid STI

STI spoilers are ugly, but I thought they were functional, well I guess I was wrong. What is the point of the spoiler if it flexes? None. But evo spoilers are the best. I just got my 05 Evo MR spoiler for my RA and that thing is awsome. No flexing at high speeds for sure, i know.

But yet it's still completely useless.

i just think a spoiler on a front wheel drive car is pointless..all it does is create drag..unless you are going for show..the by all means

Yes, the STI's fiberglass spoiler flexes at speed, many magazines have noted this.

my friend just got an sti and one of the first things i noticed after being in it was the wing bouncing like a mother. this was only at like 50 mph at most too, i couldn't believe it. even when you touch the wing you can see it is very flexible...weird

yeah one of the bigest complaints about thier spoiler is that by buddy with his is currently trying to go wingless like almost every sti here is.... he was telling me about how the bottom of the spoiler is technically the only part that helps with downforce... and the top wobbly part only helps if your like going off a jump hahah something like that

Whether Evo or STI, they both look stupid and slow the car down.

I have the evo8 (real oem) spoiler on my car.. it is very stable, doesn't even budge all the way up to 125mph. (about the fastest I've gone out in the middle of nowhere with no posted speed limit). Thats weird about the subaru spoiler.. never paid attention to see if my buddies did it. I'll have to check next time. But as for the evo spoiler not doing anything, I noticed a huge difference in rear end stability at high speeds. (50+mph) I can take the offramps faster without the back tires squeeling, and not have my rear tires bounce off the ground when hitting potholes or bumps. Before, my car was all over the place on the highway. It helps in heavy winds too. Thats just ignorance to say it does nothing at all. People act like its gonna lift the front tires of a FWD car off the ground when you are going down the road. I thought it did nothing and was pointless? Thats just stupidity.

edit: I got mine free.. so I didn't pay for it. Just a little addition to the car for when I sell it. I like the look of CF too.

A close friend of mine owns an STi. After like 50mph, you can hear the wing. It starts to make a whining noise that is clearly audible. It's not only his car, it's all the STi's. lol.
