Did anyone else catch the review of the Eclipse on the speed channel?? I forget the name of the show (it might have been an old episode) -- but the car looked really nice in action! They put a cai and a high flow muffler and got almost an extra 15whp out of their test car (nothing to get too excited about). Sounded really good though.

Translated with a little hint of Microsoft Word to help...well getting to the point, the new Eclipse *looks* cool and all, but if performance is what you want, it's with the Evo. Don't get me wrong, the new Eclipse is nice and all, but I'd invest in an Evo if it were up to me.
Yeah CGs, they do have a great sound to em, one drove through here a few weeks ago, when I looked out, it was a black 06 Eclipse. It was just bought with that sticker thing in the window!

Matt-Jag.. v6 eclipse? Put that thing on some slim fast and get it to lose some weight. Seriously, strip that thing bare (interior). That might set you back 100lb, maybe a little more. Then start with a few power upgrades when they are available. In the mean time, stick some cheap, lightweight racing seats in there, one driver, one navigator.

3,500lbs I think they're a pretty nice car, but they're certainly not as fast as people think they are, then again, there was a girl at a car show who said her dad's Eclipse Spyder (which is totally stock) is way too fast for her...
no, let them buy the car, that way evo's can beat them, and mitsu's sales will go up. This new eclipse is one of the cars thats supposed to boost sales so they don't stop selling cars in america.

3,500lbs ... it's about .9 of a second off an evo, even with 13less HP, minus a forgiving AWD platform and +300lbs more.
Sure it's no evo, but I say peformance wise... it's dam GOOD.
