traded oz for b16 integra
traded oz for b16 integra
No matter what i did to the car i just wasnt happy w/ it, mind you i only had catback exhaust, injen intake, rrm strut bars, and a b&m shifter but it still didnt have any pick up. I even thought of goin FI but my friend had a stge one runnin 7 pounds of boost and he was only runnin in the low 15's. so as soon as i found that out i started looking for another car. I came across a nice 92 hatchback with a modded b20 but decided to pass that up for a 92 integra that a friend of mine has been building. The mods include.... b16 pr3 from japan with jdm tranny, dc sports short shifter, stage 3 clutch,skunk2 ecu, greddy exhaust, intake, header, carbon fiber tail lights, fully adjustable coilovers, racing seats, rims, and a few other small things like gauges. I think im going to miss the lancer but i think a have more potential w/ this car. But im not ditchin the lancer scene i still have hopes like all oz and ralliart owners of someday owning an evo but i just couldnt afford it now so i guess im goin for the best bang for the buck. plz post if u have any pointers on the teg or just comments about anything
I got a 96 hatch with 98 b18, ek9 ecu, and all the mods you can think of....plus cwest body kit, carbon hood....50 shots of NOS...clutch master...spoon rims...etc.....if you want to change your mind...
nope im not leavin the communit ,actually my sister will actually have the car and shes putting the evo7 kit on that i have in my garage. so i think im going to talk her into going to shows with me. its not an itr but it does run right around a mid to high 14 prolly on the high side.
why a b16 should have went with a b18. I'd take the carbon fiber tail lights off.
This is what I would have done if I was on a budget.
92-95 civic
b18b (ls engine) or b20 (crv)
same tranny or maybe one from an si with shorter gear ratios or a type r (lsd)
build the block (sleeve, pistons, rods)
boost
hondata
coils
tires
more things but you get the idea
you are good to go since you have a built block i say run lower psi first to get used to it then turn it up as you go. Traction will be your biggest problem and you will probably break loose going into 4th lol.

well i have some bad news. since i was buying the car in La where i live and registering it in Ar where my mom lives i just found out that there is no way for me to get the car there legally b/c of insurance reasons. so i guess im going to paint the lancer and put on the bodykit instead of getting the teg. im planning on building my own civic hatch w/ a b20 i know a friend running that setup with only minor things... intake exhaust cams...... and hes runnig w/ mach 1's. bu8t i have to wait 11 months until im 18 so i guess we'll see. btw the car i was going to buy is now for sale for 1500 its in slidell La about 40 miles east of new orleans if anyone has any questions pm me or call me at 985-960-3250

Ive been thinking more and more about fixing the lancer up (turbo) im just not sure if i want to do that or trade in for evo next year. by next year i will have about 5-6 thousand cash at least plus the lancer to trade in. but i dont even want to think about insurance for an 18 yr old male on his on policy for a evo. i think im going to start a new thread to get a few opinions.
