When I went to the F1 race at indy there was a red one sitting in the back of a parking lot a little ways from the track. Sorta weird, I think I saw the EXACT SAME one today in town here. Yes, I know they aren't supposed to be out til october, but know that I live in KY, the same state where the vettes are produced. This vette had KY deler tags too.

the 2005 Busa is limited to 186mph. again you have to mod it.. the 1999-2000 Busa was the fastest they did not have limiter in 6th gear. but still not 198mph the Cover of Cycle world magazine back in 99 showed 194.6 on a stalker radar gun. Till today no stock bike has topped that. last time I checked 198 is faster than 186.

 

now turbo that busa and it is game over!

They are already selling them here in Michigan at the Corvette King in Dearborn, MI. (just 5 miles from GM world headquarters) Someone across town from me has one already. They are soooo fast.

I actually got a ride in one about a month ago. The car is incredible. Scary fast, and the braking/cornering is rediculous.

Comparing it to the vipers ive driven, its about as fast but much more refined.

You guys need to get in one of these ASAP.

What are you talking about? It has 14-in 6-piston brakes in front. 60-0 in 104 ft. is awesome. With a car that light, and brakes that big, it's all about how sticky the tires are. With a UTQG of 220 they aren't extemely sticky.

 

please.......you're gonna take top speed as your point to stand on while the Z06 gets scraped in every other conceivable speed category??? Come on now........the $10k motorcycle hits over 140mph in the 1/4 mile and has a top speed in the 180's......by the time the Z06 got to 196mph the bike would be in the next town already.........and then we can always tack on an additional $2k or so and get a Busa which will do over 200mph stock.

 

Yeah Braniacs, and when did this become a bike vs car thread? A Hayabusa would spank ANY stock car how does that take away from 66K car that spanks every other car under 180K?

The car is awesome and from a performance standpoint and the times it posted at Nurburgring it is the best bargain PERIOD. With race tires it would have been in the 7.30 range at the ring beating times from modded Carrera GT's.

 

tough choice. wait for 2007 gtr(if it hits the US) or buy the C6 ? they seem the same performance wise. I dont know about price though ?
