If I had that kind of money I would be down at the BMW dealership right now ordering my new M6.

My choice for having to purchase brand new? - Probably Z06. Of course with that amount of money, I'd be buying many lesser priced performance vehicles.
The guy had a C6 and was getting rid of it, presumably because he was sick of the corvette. He wanted a 'vert. Boxster S is an awesome handling, good looking, fun to drive car for well under $100k. Not as fast as a viper but a better overall package, and a 911 C2 convertible isn't much faster but is $20k more.

In an open question, best car under $100k, the C6 Z06 wins hands down. With the constraints he placed (notably wanting a convertible) the Boxster S is a good choice.
