2006 Volkswagen Passat Opinions
The car is not half bad; the commercials have been catching my eye. It has headlights that turn with the steering of the car, a cooled glove box and 280hp. If Volkswagens weren’t plagued with some many quality problems I would actually consider buying it. What are your opinions?
The six-speed Tiptronic gearbox seems particularly effective for delivering the V6's 280 hp. No stumbles, no wavering, just a steady pulse of power followed by a silken snick to the next gear. Feedback from the powertrain, steering and brakes is standard VW; that is, it's nigh perfect.

vw's always have great specs. But i found out pretty quick with my 00 vr6 jetta, you would be putting money into VERY often.
The styling is pretty clean, and the headlights/glove box are very cool on this car though, I must admit.

I like it. And I'm not so sure about the volkswagen 'plagues'. We've had 3 different ones, an '83 diesel rabbit, that ran great till we sold it last year, the girl who bought it somehow managed to set it on fire
, have an '85 Quantum Syncro, has been runnin strong, only one issue w/ cooling, and it just needed a new radiator (160K miles will do that
), and my sis has a 98 Jetta Wolfsburg edition, no issues with it as of yet.
