Come on guys, spare us the self-righteousnous. Accidents happen in rally racing, and that's an amazing crash. It's a credit to the cars and their drivers that more racers don't get hurt.

 

actually markko martin's co-driver, michael park was killed this last wrc rally of great britain.
unfortunately these things still happen, though thankfully not nearly as much thanks to technology, testing and R&D.

 

Actually its based off the 22b, If you look at the rear spoiler it isn't parted like the present series car, The round headlight WRC car is the exact same as the 22b WRC car, it is nothing more then a frontal Change as both the Rounded Eye and the 22b were used in the 2000-2002 Spec period, As such the position and height of the spoiler says its a 22b, And its defiantly the rally of Finland.

That's exactly why its not cool to laugh at car crashes, unless of course they are completely stupid (like a punk kid in a civic trying to impress his friends by drifting).

If you didn't bring that up, I was going to. This really isn't the right time to laugh at a serious rally crash... any WRC involvee or enthusiast would look down on this forum, especially after Sunday. Once again friendly competetion is one thing, but you can't say things like "best vid ever, "subaru great day," and "maybe they will drive an evo next time," and "lesson learned." First of all, he's a Subaru driver... he works for the Subaru Rally Team, whether it be SWRT or whatever, so he's not about to start driving an Evo... it's called a contract. Secondly, there was no lesson to be learned other than don't rally if you don't wanna crash. Don't act like you can keep a car straight in the middle of the air at those speeds.
