I bet you could get a SWEET deal on any other car if you did take your truck back. Just be like, look Mr. Ball Bag, you ruined my life and because of you my wife left me, dog ran away, and the sky just isn't as blue as it used to be. This is where you cry a little bit and then he hands you the keys to an 06 Evo Mr at dealer cost! YEEEE HAAAAAA!

If the car has not been registered (you still have a temp tag on the car?) they can take it back and sell it as new. They'll hold off on sending the info for the car's state tag (registration) in until everything clears. I'm sure the dealer did this. They're all crooks....

Hey maybe his parents should go on a long road trip this weekend and then return the car on Monday?

Put as many miles on it, so the next person they try to sell it to as new will scratch their heads....

Outcome?

Hey Guys,

Just to do a follow up...

I called the dealer and told them if they price and terms had to be changed for the worse, when would be a good time to take the vehicle back....
I left that messege on the Sales managers Voice mail or Finace Man. not sure.

I didn't get a call back....

So I called back and got a Whole hearty, Exicted hello!!
Told him who I was, and he says he got my messege and Im like, and?

He says that they decided to let it be......I was like you sure now ???

And he confirms :P

Guess it worked out ok

But 90% Car dealerships SUCK *** and all the salesman / people should go to hell and burn to a crispy core, that the maggots would enjoy with heinz ketchup.

Hey thats IMO. I know there are some good guys out there.............

Congrats!

Looks like they just wanted to see if they could squeeze you for more and whether you would call their bluff or not.

You have a great weekend!

Glad we were here to give you moral support!

there is nothing the dealer can do at this point. you have a binding contract. if they messed up the numbers, it's their fault.

Yeah, this kinda story gets posted at least once a month. The dealer is not doing anything wrong......generally when you leave the dealership and have chosen to do you financing there they'll let you go home with the car regardless of if the loan has actually been approved. As already stated, the small print on the contracts gives them an out here if they can't get it approved and they can ask you for more $$$, extend the terms, or raise your payment/APR and there's nothing you can do about it because it's not illegal. I always have my financing pre-approved so I don't worry about this crap.....it's the best way to go.

The only way that would work is if the financing came from another source. My financing was all pre-approved and they pulled the rug out from underneath me...twice! Even if it is legal, it's shady. I'll have to write to my state senator.
