Would you own this? I would in a heartbeat.

I heard from the local Audi dealer that the S3 is comming the US and making its debut soon. I know the S4 is a 340hp V8 AWD, I don't know what kind of specs to expect from the S3 but what a sweet car, I would own one for sure, I am out of college in about 3 years ish. http://www.dieselstation.com/archive...S3/index.shtml
The Euro S3 (coupe/wagon)...absolutely. The American one I've only seen in 4 door. So basically it's a glorified A4 wagon as opposed to the sort of Gold/A4 hybrid of the Euro S3. Saw several when I was in Paris a year ago, and they were one of my favorite semi-regular cars sighted there. I don't know if I'd buy one, but I'd certainly drive one with a smile on my face, or keep it (rather than selling it) if one were given to me.

MK II Supras, AE86's (despite the hype), Cressidas, 240's etc. I can't think of many of these cars that cost more than the $10,000 range. I'm more about how the car has changed than where it began or where it ends up. So basically I'd rather dump 30k into a 5k car than buy a new car for $35k or so. I like the S3, but I'd never buy one new.
I don't know. If it is quattro eqipped and gets all the usuall S goodies maybe. Considering the A3 is getting about 260 hp with 290 ft/lbs of torque just from a chip, they are going to have to do considerably more than just bump up the power to justify what I'm sure is a considerable bump in price. A well equipped A3 is @ $31,000 so this thing is going to probably be pretty pricey.

Its VW Golf platform with Audi look... so nothing special on it.
VW maded same cars with different brands & light modifications like Skoda Octavia RS,Seat Cupra R,Golf GTI,Audi TT and the S3.
But the platform is always the golf, which i hate... average performance for loads of money.
The only thing what im looking at,is the upcoming RS 3 and BMW 1 series with 350 HP.
An A3 manual with cloth was only $25,000 sticker when I looked, the one with leather, automatic and a big sunroof was $31,000. With the S4 being $52,000 or so I would say this could be??? $40k? Give me a Lexus IS350 for $35,000 anyday.
I drove both the DSG and regular 6-speed non-sport package. I actually considered this car before the Evo. My thoughts; the non-sport 6-speed is a good deal for the money considering it's a "luxo" car. Shifter is a bit vague and the turn-in/feel leaves a bit to be desired. The 2.0T is a nice engine. Very peppy. The "sky" package is quite nice. Rear seat room is about the same as the Evo but the Evo's trunk is bigger though not as tall. The DSG was amazing. Shifts very quickly. If there's ONE thing I wish our Evo's had, it's DSG. The sport suspension firms things up nicely, much better turn-in. Car looks good in red and black, Titanium too. The interior's finish in cloth looks ok, well, actually cheap. Base steering wheel is ugly as hell. Very few amenities for the price. A Mazda3 has a richer look than the non-leather interior and better ergonomics to boot. I got them down to $26K for the sport DSG, no leather. The only problem was they had NO incentives and the interest rates were a bit high. I just happened to drive by the local Mitsu dealership and saw the 0%/60mo. deal and was sold, even though the car was about $5K more expensive. Performance wise, there's no comparison. The A3's a nice "mature" car though with a bit of poser value.
