corvette generation battle

Please limit your decision to appearance alone, and pick the nicest generation of vette.

i like c2 as well but I always run into people who don't even know it's a vette. I'm surprised no C3 votes so far, to be honest.

I wanted to run this cause I've seen similar threads run on the corvette forum but everyone just votes for the car they own. It's much better to ask the import crowd for an impartial decision.

The early C3 were are pretty cool, but the C2 wins for me hands down. It is just a classic body style.

i owned a c5 z06, fun car but driver ergonomics were terrible...

from a technical standpoint id like a c6 z06... its the pinacle of technical development for corvettes.

hate to tell ya but I put one right by ya!
The old Vette picture was 84 or 85, as indicated by the wheels.
The new C4 picture is of my car, which is an 86 vert with custom hardtop and upgraded wheels from an 89.
The "good ones" (i presume) are the body style that has the "squared off" tail lamps and revised rear fascia along with the elimination of the black "character line" going around the waist of the car.

But in all honesty, I can guess that most of the forum population here doesn't care in the least about minor cosmetic differences between corvettes. The real reason I brought this up is cause I'm glad you like my car so much better than the other one I had posted.

Only C4 I can see worth Getting is a 1990 with the quad cam and a ZR-1 badge or atleast a LT4.

I also liked the Sliver 1996 Anniversary Edition.

you've got the right idea. The ZR1 ran from 90-95, and boasted over 400 factory rated hp at the end of it's run. Engine designation LT5.

The LT4 was rated at 330 hp and 340 ft/lbs and actually compared very well to the incoming LS1. I prefer the look of the C4 to the C5 anyways, and I would buy a 96 instead of a 97 in a heartbeat.

Huh I didnt know that. I have trouble telling the difference between the C4s but it was late last night when I noticed so that could be why.
