maybe they wont notice and you will get a good deal toward the evo

 

lol....what is funny about that is that the first time i went to the dealer was at night and actually they didnt see the scatchs...jeez i would hate to see the trade in value if they would of seen them. either way whenever you trade in a car i think you get screwed...the way to go is selling it on yer own if you can...and thats what i would like to do but i wish there was a semi easy fix for these clear **** ups.

 

thats sucks dude... i paint cars and the only real way is to have the panel repainted! what color is this car by the way? also just because it was painted doesnt mean it was wrecked could have just been scratched or had a small ding!

 

This is ridiculous, zec. Evo General is not your personal POS-car-selling-support group. I've already explained in GREAT DETAIL why you are in NO POSITION TO BUY AN EVO. Do you realize that the trade-in value on an 05 CTS with 10k miles is only 24k? You owe _25k_, and it's only an 03, which happens to have tons of problems. They offered 7k less than that, because it's only worth 17k or whatever. I think that's being nice, actually, because it doesn't sound like ANYONE would want that POS if they knew how crappy it was.

I don't know how you've seen 03s sell for 25-26k when used 05s are barely worth that much. I think you need to stop bugging us about your personal problems and stop asking us how to sell your damn CTS. Go get it fixed and sell it, then buy an Accord or Camry. The LAST thing you need is an Evo...

 

the color is black...heres the thing...the pinstripe took the clear off from both rear doors all the way back towards the trunk...so it was both sides...not just one...the front doors and front fenders it came off superrrrr easy...then from the whole rear doors on each side back is bad news...weird.

 

not really coulda been alot of small things!!! doesnt mean it was wrecked bad so dont automatically assume that... was the clear actually clear or was their a little black in it?

the clear that peeled off was completely clear....also when i was having tranny problems i had taken it to a caddillac dealer because i was really fed up with the dealer that i had bought it from...when they got it up to look at the tranny the tech asked if it was in a accident because from the underneath it looked like it was....??? so who knows...i dont even know how i would prove it was in a accident.

 

What??? No way will you convince me that EVO GENERAL is here so that some guy who has no freakin clue what he's doing can come here and ask us how to fix the clearcoat on his CTS and then sell it to someone who won't know it was all screwed up!! That has nothing to do with Evo General, and this is not the only thread where he's done this.

He has a 4-5 page thread already where he test-drove a IX and was about to buy it while hoping for $500/month payments even if it was a 6 year loan. I explained to him in great detail how he was smoking the good stuff if he thought that was ANYWHERE near possible with how much he owes on the CTS, how little it is worth, how much he's going to pay on a IX and how interest rates work.

I can't believe you actually said "that's why this forum is here...." Maybe Off-Topic...maybe Other Cars...but not Evo General and not multiple times in multiple threads.

 

cadillacs are nice cars especially the cts! wish i could afford one and my evo...might be able to get away with somebody wet sanding and buffing it back in and then re-stripping it! not a guarantee but it is a shot and will save you a ton of money....

I guess you think that a DEALER selling a used car at RETAIL PRICE means you can sell yours for that much. Hilarious...

The private-party value for your car is 21k, and that's only if it's in "Good" condition, which it obviously is not (Fair = 19k). This is if you sell it to an individual privately. The "Good" trade-in value is only 18k...close to what the dealer offered, huh.

 

i agree but if your not gonna help him then why say anything? just ignore it and do something else!
