IS350 0-84mph video

Well i'm over 1000 miles now on my new IS350 and tonight I decided on the way home to make a short little video clip of my car from a stop to whenever without getting busted by the police. Anyway, it is cold out tonight 34 degrees at the moment and the summer tires just don't hook up well so the traction control kicks on pretty quick to limit the wheel spin, but also reduces the acceleration a bit. Car is still pretty quick off the line with a 0-60 coming up in little over 5 seconds with traction control kicking on in the beginning and 84mph comes up in about 9 seconds.

PS... if your counting, the car doesn't actually start moving until after the 1 second mark.

Anyway enjoy and sorry about the shaky camera!

I love my IS350 Just wish it had a turbo!

For comparison sake here is a video of an SMG M3 doing 0-157mph. We both hit 80mph in almost the exact same time even with my traction control coming on in the beginning!

yeah, my IS350 is pretty cool too. I ran a 13.68 last friday at Firebird. This car is definately quicker than it feels. Forced induction would be nice, but I bet with just bolt ons and some minor tuning it will be a 12 second car.

Yeah I'm just waiting for the aftermarket to pick up on this car. Right now there is nothing available, but a few companies in R&D mode with the car. Some have been throwing up dyno charts with very impressive numbers with just an exhaust. 20+hp at the wheels! That's pretty uncommon for NON FI cars.

I saw that too. I dynoed my car and it was running pig rich so there is alot left in these cars and maybe with just better breathing we can get some good gains. I am thinking of hooking up my s-afc to see how much I can squeeze out with that.

I haven't seen any stock evo's doing this, but my buddy did it with 300whp. Here is the link to where I saved his video. He is a quick son of a b#@#$. (pureevo or sterlingevo) aka Steve

Sucks!? I know it doesn't handle as well as an EVO, but that doesn't mean the car sucks in the handling department.

Must be because the IS is geared lower so the tach will shoot up faster as it climbs gears.

sounds nice....imagine how much faster it would be with a real tranny???? I also found out the other day that these cars have only 35" of headroom!!!!!! That's crazy.......makes the S2K headroom seem like an Element in comparison.....

You are actually incorrect. Before you post things...why don't you do a little bit of research.

IS350
Headroom: 37.2/36.7 in (944/932 mm)

Honda S2000
Headroom: 34.6 but unlimited headroom if you have the top down.

I did read somewhere that the new IS had 35" of headroom with the sunroof...that's why I posted it. Even those specs that you posted are still ridiculously small for that kind of car.....my 350Z has more headroom......that's crazy.

Well the EVO with sunroof has the exact same amount as the IS350 with 36.7"

Z:
38.2 but you have no backseat. how about that!?

Can't believe headroom is actually such a big deal in this topic. I'm 5'10 and I have plenty of headroom. Friend of mine that is 6'0 also drove me car and he was fine. So unless a person is a giant, then who cares about headroom!!
