some insecure rx8 owners..
I think that's it...you can't be insecure driving the Evo. No, it's not the greatest looking car in the world, any more than an STi is...but ahh the performance...one turn around the block and you're hooked. Suddenly the commonplace roots of the car don't seem to matter and you really question what you'll drive once the car wears out. Nothing else really measures up. I've had my parents and grandmother down here on vacation for the holidays and I've been shuttling them around in the Evo, three in the back seat at times and no complaints. Can't do that in an RX8 and I'd still blow the doors off of one even with a full car. The Evo is everything the RX8 should be performance wise but isn't.
I drove a rx8 when it came out and was not very impressed with how slow it felt and the styleing didnt do it for me either.
it was an automatic that came into the dealer i worked at though so that could explain why it was such a dog.
like the evo I think it is a unique car that will drum up emotions either way, kinda love it or hate it.
the power to weight ratio of the wankle engine is amazeing, but it gives me a headache thinking about how it works letalone how to improve/extract power. the guy that came up with it was either gifted, disturbed or both

I've been posting over on the RX-8 boards for a while now and it's always the same handfull of insecure morons who hijack those kind of threads when better performing cars are mentioned. Had Evilbada traded in his RX-8 for something slower like a Mazda 3 or Honda Civic they would have all been patting him on the back and acting like his big brother. He didn't though and, although he had nothing but positive things to say about the RX-8 and their community before he even talked about getting an Evo IX, some of the mental midget RX-8 owners in that forum somehow saw it as a challenge and reacted like fat bald single men with little bobos still living in their parent's house. It's sad really. Back when I posted on the SRT forums a lot I would always look forward to those threads where guys would trade up to an SVT Cobra, Evo, STi or whatever. I feel sorry for people who can't feel the same way. They're not really enthusiasts. They're more like brand ******.
