Yeah, those are VERY good times for a car that heavy. Every mag that has reviewed this car raves about how the handling and power are dead on perfect.

that delay was actually last April when it was initially supposed to arrive. They are at dealers now.

The delays has hardly anything to do with the power if at all. Direct Injection is a first for Mazda. DISI is definitely something for mazda to worry about. Other than that, gear ratios, as well as suspension tuning were other things that mazda delayed the car for. Some Mazdaspeed6s were stuck at port for 2 extra weeks do to linkage problems. I know, I work at a Mazda dealership and I drive a mazdaspeed6 as my demo.

hey guys,
I actually got a chance to test drive this car today and i believe the specs on this mazdaspeed 6 according to the procedure i have is 274 horse and 280 lb-ft of torque. WEll anyways, the car is amazing unless you have driven an evo or an sti. I really like the interior but the best aspect on this ride would be the quietness and the way it handles...it handles very well and braking is excellent as well. . As i was driving it, i totally lost track of how fast i was going because it's such a smooth ride, the car handles very well around twisties and I was even amaze at how fast it can take a corner. The dealer gave me a good deal at 31,067 for a grand touring model but i quickly say sorry but i waited much too long for an evo. Evo IX that is. Well maybe i'll be seeing the mazdaspeed 6 in a few years.

Yes i believe it can easily hit low 14's, during my test drive i gunned it and it took off and left no prisoners. Very impressive for a heavier sedan.

For $28,555 - $30,485 ... buying an Evo IX over the MS6 is a no brainer, the 6 is heavy and has unproven modification potential ... it's a luxury boat... I'd rather own a used Infiniti G35 if I were looking in the market segment of luxury AWD.
