It's not accurate, 4.7 0-60, but a 13.7@101mph in the 1/4 Mile doesn't match up, unless you were f*cking up your shifting, but the IS350 is an automatic. 5.0 or 5.1 Seconds seems more likely, still not bad at all in my opinion.

You know maybe it is possible, I think it's possible that the IS350 may even be under rated in power, I've seen some stock dynos posted and they've been pretty impressive, 260WHP+.

Time to go Enzo hunting! The fq400 did run a 3.5, so as crazy as it sounds, it's not out of the realm of possibility. I think I'm going to buy a radar gun and we can test it out in person...

I pulled on an is350 pretty hard on the ol' Track 28... Several cars right off the horns and still pulling...

The IS350 drives like a Lexus with *****. It is still really boring, but it can move.

I see that some of you are thinking that the calculator may be pretty accurate. At first it didn't seem right to me either, but the more I thought about it it seems like it may be pretty close.

The IS is underrated horsepower wise as they are using the new measurement. I think that if you use the old method then it is closer to 330 flywheel. My car dynoed at 240whp on an awd Mustang dyno so I think that time might be right.

Gosh, when will you guys learn that 0-60 means nothing? you will learn eventually once slower 0-60 car beats your fast 0-60 car. here is the example in real life, A car does 0-100 at 13.6 sec, and B car does in 12.7 sec. And at 100mph guess who is pulling ahead at 100 mph?

Answer: ( A car)

another example: There is a bike that can do under 10 sece with trap speed just 105mph.

why? confused? There is more to it than just 0- 60.
Let me tell you 0-60 is invented to fool the general consumers. that 10 sec bike can be considered so slow if you just go with 0-60 or 0-100. that is why drag race measures 1/4 mile time not 0-60 or 0-100.

It's kind of funny. I bought the Lex as a daily driver, but I only drove it for a week before just giving it to my girlfriend to drive. Even with the vdim deactivation code, the car is just boring. Now I'll just drive the Evo everyday. Originally I was gonna get a IX MR as a driver and now I wish I woulda done that. It's luxurious enough.

0-60 may mean nothing, but since it has been published and used for comparisons for quite a while, I think that you can use it to compare different vehicles initial acceleration. I agree that it doesn't represent necessarily who would win in a 0-100 contest or a quarter mile, but it is kind of interesting none-the-less.

That doesn't really seem possible, or maybe I am just dense.

I kind of understand what you are saying, the IS350 is indeed a pretty fast car, but as far as everything else performance wise it is lacking. Infact the IS300 of the previous generation may be a more sportier ride, although it lacks the grunt of the IS350, it makes up for it in all around performance and fun to drive factor. I've riden (not driven) in a IS350 and it really didn't seem that fast, although it's more because of the ultra quiteness and very linear power. Still a very sweet ride though, but I'd still take a G35 Sport Coupe over it, if only for that sexy exhaust note. Of course I'd take an EVO over both .

This may be true... IF you keep going up to triple digits. But when some fool in a BMW comes up to you at a light and revs, 0-60 is pretty much what you're gonna be schooling him on...

Also, like metioned before, if your cousin or neighbor is asking you how fast the car is, then 0-60 is what he's most likely going to be impressed by. If you say "high 11s" 98% of the people are going to say "what the hell does that mean", and then you say "0-60 in less than 4 seconds" and they say "oh, that's fast!" That's how it goes...
