GT3, again just because its a porsche race car from the factory, and bringing up a Z06 when talking about GT3's and Porsche turbo's is worse than me compaing an evo to a C6 Z06, they do not even compare in terms of quality and feel.

911s are rear engine, not mid engine, for what it's worth.

The previous GT2 was over $180,000, which is a different league entirely. You'd be comparing to F430s and Murcielagos then.

There seems to be a percentage of people on this forum that, no matter the comparison, always prefer the Evo and gobs of mods to a vastly superior car. I'm not sure what's behind the mentality, but I suspect the majority who choose that option have never been in a 911 (or Z06, Ferrari, whatever is being compared to) to appreciate the difference.

Sorry youre wrong.

Mid engine means that it is between the rear and front axle. (ferrari)

Rear engine means that it is behind the rear axle. (porsche)

Actually the boxster is mid engine, and I believe the Cayman as well.

Blah blah blah, the classic porsche configuration with the 911 is a rear engine layout.

Well i think its more along the lines of that, they may just want a track car and if thats the case, 80k in mods on a evo would crush these porsche's on a track. I dont think u could ever make a evo as nice as either of these cars for daily driven and reliability purpose. But i think the people voting for the evo would be thinking along the terms of flat out race purposes. (or i would hope)
