Hello forum,
As some of you already noticed I purchased a 94 Stealth R/T TT 3 weeks ago.
I took the car to a AWD Mustang Dyno at IAperformance today.
The car has absoluetly no mods except a MBC to restablsih stock boost due to faulty stock electronic solenoids.
This car is rated from factory at 320hp(crank) and 12 psi peak. My car has 110k miles
The car put down a healthy 316tq /267whp on 91oct at 12.8psi peak(stock turbos)
Just for reference, I spent all day yesterday at the same dyno watching a bunch of Evos getting tune but in order to compare my own car with other competitors this is how it compares:
My Stealth bone stock 315tq/267whp
04 STI bone stock same dyno 228tq/237whp
06 Evo 9 RS cat-back, MBC 266tq/287whp (average of 3 runs)
my Evo 9 3"TB,MBC,Buschur cone,Dynoflash mail in 304tq/304whp
Al Friedman rental Shelby GT-H 198whp (factory rated at 300hp)
Here is more info:

plan on modding it? lets see how it responds to mods, keep going back to the dyno.
sounds like fun!
sounds like fun!
I appreciate it, I am just astonished to see that this engine is so strong. I bought the car from a old Doctor, this guys was in his 70's and he took care of the car very very well. I have all the maintenance records and the car is bone stock.
The only thing I found wrong with the car is that the stock boost was peaking at 6psi and droping to 5psi when I bought it. I did some research on the forums and found out that the car is factory set at 12psi.
I fixed the boost by installing a MBC and keeping the boost to 12psi. The higest boost read was 12.8psi peak.
Unfortunately, runing my car to 12.5psi average is near the turbos capacity. This turbos would not producce absolutely nothing abover 14.5psi , that is the limit.
Spool up is not bad at all, 3300rpm max boost. Keep in mind this car has 3 cat guys!!
.
I want to make clearI am not trying to brag on the numbers, I am just sharing the dyno numbers with you guys because I know you guys love to compare engines, HP, dyno numbers and all that good stuff.
I will be taking the car to the track soon but as you already know I don't expect nothing amazing in Tucson. I will be happy with a 13.9.
We will see.

There are a few exhaust configurations for this car. I personally prefer the 3" single exit single muffler configuration which is the lightest.Originally Posted by EvoRecordSetter

They also offer a one single connecting DP with no cats. As far is the air filter, I am planning on installing a cone.
I will definately bring the car to the dyno for more testing. I am honestly aiming on reducing the spool up time by as much as 500rpm once I do the full 3" exhaust and no cats.
Also guys, My other runs were 314tq/264 and 308tq/263 with lesser boost

Nice numbers, but I think that MD reads a litttle higher than most MDs, just my opinion. Still very nice numbers for your Stealth. if I ever get a little more income, I may buy a 3000GT VR4 or Stealth R/T TT as a second car, I love those cars, almost as much as EVOs, I've owned two VR4s in the past and wouldn't mind a third, some day in the future.

Oh yeah take it to the track to see how she runs, I took one of my VR4s, she ran in the low 14s@97-98MPH stock, but this was most likely due to my crap *** driving. With just Catback, Downpipe, MBC, Intake, and Iridium Spark Plugs as mods it was trapping 105-107MPH.

its weird how you put the hp numbers after the tq number .
i almost fell out of my chair i though you made 316whp and 267tq on a stock vr4

The thing is that the other dyno numbers that I put as a reference is from people that I personally know and I pulled the info directly from the database of the Mustang Dyno. Originally Posted by EVOMIZ

I got a ride in one of those when they first came out by my buddies dad who worked for Dodge. In the 4th turn after leaving the neighborhood he spun out of control, ran over a street sign, three bushes and hopped one large curb. It was awesome! I'm just glad I can sit here and tell the story. Have fun

I am estimating nearly 3800lbs. I already had a 91 Stealth R/T TT before ( 7 years ago) but never weight it. I will try to take it to the track this weekend and weight it and see. I estimated to be around 3750lbs.Originally Posted by jasonc32amg
Nice numbers, but how heavy is that sleigh?

It sounds to me that your buddies dad was a terrible driver. These cars are not that bad on handling, they are actually very decent (I owned one R/T TT before).Originally Posted by lexat20
