Actually most stock 6MT G's dyno around 240-250whp.

the G is still a very fun car to drive if u wanna be spirited. i've driven my friend's 04 6spd. the exhaust note is one of the best for 6 cylinders, and i liked the gearbox as well. there's a lot of available low end torque, so moving in traffic is very effortless. the car feels surprisingly nimble for its weight, however in longer corners u could definitely feel the weight. i havn't tried it, but my friend told me fish tailing is very easily done with the G, since it's heavy and rwd. so if u wanna have some sliding action, the G will suit u nicely the highlight of the car is definitely the ***....it is just freaking sexy. the interior is also very very nice, and everything in there suited my needs pretty well.

having said all that, i still picked the Evo. everybody here will tell u why but i just wanted a sedan that could wipe the floor with *almost* anything out there on the streets, as well as awd for all ground surfaces applications.

G = style and class and rwd fun.
Evo = just plain out fun and beastly fast.

good luck with ur choice

I test drove the G last Monday and really enjoyed it, I've never driven an Evo or rode in one for that matter.

I'm not really interested in buying an Evo just wanted an oppinion on performance comparision.

It's either a 04 G or an 07 Eclipse Spyder and I've pretty much 100% made my desicion that the G will be parked infront of my house by the end of the month

There are quite a few G that would hand an evo it's *** on a drag strip. Here's a video of a G the VRT built. Watch the speedo when it's on the dyno.

I owned a 1992 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD turbo for 7 years. It was turning into a money pit just to get it to drive. I akready knew I wanted an Evo. However, there was a beautiful pearl white G35 with sport package. So, I thought I would test drive it. It was very nice- smooth, handled pretty well, power was pretty good. He wouldn't even go down in price so it wasn't an option. After owning the Talon, I purchased the Evo without EVER riding in one. There are two completely different animals. The G35 to me is like "wow he has a nice pretty car and I bet he's got alot of money" but the Evo is " OMG that thing is freaky looking and crazy fast." The G35 seems like the power stops way too early compared to even a stock Evo that has boost taper. After driving an Evo, the G35 doesn't compare in performance whatsoever but it is a very smooth but sporty drive. The Evo is just a monster. One thing that tells me I got the right car is no one stares at any car more than the Evo. People practically break their necks to check out the car. You see a G35 and think there's a G35. You see an Evo and it seems like a rarity (to me) to see one. They seem to stick out from all other cars on the road. Having road in both and owned an Evo, the Evo is well beyond the G35. Have you ridden/driven in one? :Edit- you posted before I did:

2 totally different car for 2 tottally different markets. Evo is an enthusiast, performance vehicle. The G35 is a luxary car mixed with perfromance. The G35 is pretty much max out from the factory. Mods like intake, exhaust won't do much for the car but make it louder. The real power is the addition of turbo (please do not supercharge the VQ).

From a roll, stock vs. stock even the slower of the bunch (2003 Evo) will put a 6spd G35 from a roll, it'll be a slow pull but the evo will win. Let not even mention from a dig.

It just depends what you want from either car. Decide that and your choice will be much much easier.

Oh god, please do not even mention eclipse when looking at the G35. I will personally come to your house, slap you and grab your g/f breasts. Then as I walk out the house, I will **** on your lawn.

G35's are so common in So Cal, it's like a dime for 10 dozen.
