My new Toy
My new Toy
Well 5 months after replacing the Evo with a larger vehicle for family changes, I've picked up another "fun" car.
I've wanted one of these for about 10 years. Now, I've finally found it.
It's a much different beast than the Evo. The Evo was without a doubt tighter on the street and turns, but this thing means business on straights and from highway rolls. Even in bone stock condition, it has some serious power from 40mph+++. I've already got my garage full of parts to address the problem of being stock.
1994 Toyota Supra
Twin Turbo / 6 Speed
Targa Top
Baseline Dyno - 265whp (305-308 crankhp?? after 12 years. Stock crank was 320)
Compression Test - 160 ea.cylinder (Factory recomm. was 158), so it's still stout.
Bone Stock.....not for long

Great choice in color.

The mileage was the only draw on it for me, at 131,000, but I drove it 20hrs. straight after buying it, and never heard a peep from it, other than the turbos boosting happily away on the highway.
In the Supra community, since it was still bone stock and passed all mechanical tests, this thing was a steal. I got it for $22k, and after thorough testing pre-purchase and post-purchase after arriving home, I'm convinced I got a steal. They go for way more than that all over the Internet, and when there is one for sale, it's usually gone in 3 days or less.
It was kinda funny when I was test driving it, the guy's friend was in the passenger seat and he was begging me to get on it. He said that the guy never drove it hard and it hardly ever hit boost. So, when I took off and got it sideways, the guy was grinning ear to ear and he said how glad he was that someone who would drive it was buying it.

Thats the dumbest comment i've heard to date, well not really. Whats the point of the T-88? With really no supporting mods; fuel, timing, exhaust, internal modifications etc. They are plenty of much more better turbos on the market today than the greddy t-88 and 78. Maybe you know maybe you dont, but the Supra TT when BPU'd is amazing and amazing I mean with proper mods can go on to 500whp on stock twins (which is a big strech, not recommended but can be done).
Nice car, I am assuming you're going BPU. Might wanna signup on Supraforums.com they have great info and great people (just dont **** them off haha)
