And out of all those cars...guess which is the slowest? The RS. Even a badly driven S2000 will whoop a 2.5 RS...and that's driving it under 6000RPM. So I have no idea what your talking about. And i'm sure if you drove an S2000...you would agree.

I don't know why most people dog Honda's. Who cares if there's a lot of ricers...a good car is a good car, regardless of what you think. And you really think import tuning would've caught on without Honda cars? I don't think so. Gee, I wonder why Subaru brought over the WRX. Hmmm...and the Evo...why do you think Mitsu's bringing it over here? You can thank all the tuners and so-called "ricers".

To inform everyone without magazine racing. There has been group of folks who've hit high 13's out of the S2000. 13.7 being the fastest I've seen. And as far as the Type R goes...it's a legitimate mid 14 sec car. I've seen 14.3's to 14.7's on avg.
the s2000 is a great car.. and i believe it can hit those claimed 13s.. but i hear you have to launch real good.. and real high to manage it.. i hear launching low will only get it at a low 14..

a lot of people rag on fwd cars.. i noticed back in the day.. before the wrx.. when the iclub was impreza-rs.com.. everyone thought they were unstoppable because they had awd.. and they hated everything else that wasnt.. and to this day it still like that.. like u said.. "a good car is a good car" i respect other cars for what they are good for.. others should feel the same..

Having owned both, I can say that I feel the ITR is 10x better at everything, stock for stock. I don't really drag race so my comments speak more towards those who do track days, but I have run my ITR at a dragstrip and ran consistent 14.8s w/ crappy 2.3 60ft times. That was a stock setup with 130lb cage in it as well so it is a very fast car for the 1/4, although I think it's a waste to just use it for that.

On the track the ITR suspension is gold compared to the GSR. The GSR understeers sooo much in stock form. The ITR is very point and shoot, and a slight lift will nudge the tail to correct with ease. You can also get right on the power in the ITR thanks to the LSD where the GSR just hops and crys. Add to that the better gearing, extra hp, and stiffer chassis and it's well worth the value.

My old GSR with an AEM and Greddy exhaust dynoed around 150hp vs. my stock ITR w/ ~2400 miles at 163hp.

I don't have a scan of my gsr, but here's the ITR dyno:

yes i think the gsr does make for a better DRAG car than the itr.. why? the itr wasnt meant to be a drag car.. and yes stock 4 stock the itr is a much better car in all aspects.. especially suspension and handling..

nice dyno.. here is a dyno of a celica gts with just injen cai

the latest sport compact car dynoed a stock 2002 gts at 162.. but the 2002 are way slower than 2000-2001..

Impressive dyno plot. Just an CAI? I dynoed my 01' ITR with about 3K miles on it. The temp. was around high 90's with good amount of humidity. Car ran 167 WHP stock. I honestly think power delivery thru the transmission makes or breaks a car. 97'-01's Preludes can't touch 167 WHP with i/h/e. Celica's must have a pretty efficient tranny to deliver the claimed 180 HP. Because your dyno run is pretty strong for a car with just CAI. Unless the factory intake system is very restrictive. GS-R's are also the same way, they gain A LOT from CAI's. Much more so than the ITR. The ITR's stock intake is designed a little differently from the ones seen on the GS-R's. Not very restrictive at all if you ask me. Anyhow, the number looks impressive.

yea the celica doesnt have as much drivetrain loss like some of the hondas.. here are the stock dynos that sport compact car got from the rsx type s.. and a celica gts .. both 6 speed..

yea the gts factory intake system i feel is very restrictive because we get very good increase numbers by slapping on a cai.. but other than that.. its like the R.. we dont do as good with mods.. as the engine is pushing its max hp from it..

yea the ludes are rated 200 hp flywheel? i dont know how much they dyno.. but i know because of the heavy chassis it slows them down..
thats why the rsx and gts are so close.. the rsx has a little more horespower but weighs what 2700? compared the gts 2500.. so it comes down to a driver race.. before the rsx.. all us gts owners would always look for u R owners.. always good runs..

How is it a stock MY98 USDM SupraTT weighs almost 1000lbs more than a GTS? Still blows my mind after all this time...

Sorry kind of off topic but just wondering.

TT Supra's weigh what? 3600lbs? The car overall is just heavy. Seeing one from underneath will give you some clues as to why it weighs so much. But then again, most muscle cars weigh in around 3000's...mostly contributing to the engine mass. However, I would prefer a "pig" of a car to go fast in. Heavier cars such as Supra's feel very stable at higher speeds.
