damn i didn't know those cars were so light.
well anyways a GS-R with a good driver will do mid 14s to high 14s.
kinda funny how the ITR and s2000 does low 14's.
the GS-R with a couple bolt on mods will seriously take out a ITR.

but WTFE STOCK EVO does 12's so why bother.

Later,

Yeah I don't exactly like them. My friend is getting an integra GSR. Yeah knowing he has no prior knowledge of driving a 5-speed. Me and him going in a quarter mile/ $30/ I'm racing my stock lancer. Hopefully I can get enough money by the time we race to get an exhaust or intake. So I'm not a whole 50 hp down on him. No worries

The GSR is a good car to be racing if the other driver isn't very good. You *HAVE* to keep those cars in VTEC as much as possible. Even with that, it's going to be an uphill battle for you, but I wish you luck.

the gsr is a good car, if not a great car. I admire the performance of this car. I don't really give a crap about those "ricers make me hate this car" crap. Good car is good car, I like it, but I won't buy it.

Driving a Vtec car is a good experience if you can maintain it over 5.5K rpm...but think of it, how often can you do that on open public road???

Good luck in your race importlancer

An ITR is a high 14 sec car not low 14. I have even raced a well driven ITR at the track and he only ran a 15.4 A GSR is a mid 15 sec car stock.
Most people that run their Hondas/Acuras can't turn those times even because they are more difficult to turn the quick times due to the torqueless powerband
I see most Si's and GSRs running low 16's at the track.

v-tec engines are only fast if the driver knows what they are doing
if not they are slow just like a normal civic

Yup, the GSR, ITR are track cars (I mean road racing, I am not very into drag) that meant to be driven HARD. With its hp/weight ratio, good chassis and suspension, integra can hang with a lot of more powerful cars. That's why in those Japanese car videos I watched, ITR can race with NSX, GTR, Lan EVO and WRX...although most of the time it loses...

Ummm ok. Obviously the people your racing don't know how to drive. I've had a 99' Prelude Type SH and 01' Integra Type R, not to mention two S14 240's. My current cars are an S2000 and a 01' RS 2.5. And out of all those cars...guess which is the slowest? The RS. Even a badly driven S2000 will whoop a 2.5 RS...and that's driving it under 6000RPM. So I have no idea what your talking about. And i'm sure if you drove an S2000...you would agree.

I don't know why most people dog Honda's. Who cares if there's a lot of ricers...a good car is a good car, regardless of what you think. And you really think import tuning would've caught on without Honda cars? I don't think so. Gee, I wonder why Subaru brought over the WRX. Hmmm...and the Evo...why do you think Mitsu's bringing it over here? You can thank all the tuners and so-called "ricers".

To inform everyone without magazine racing. There has been group of folks who've hit high 13's out of the S2000. 13.7 being the fastest I've seen. And as far as the Type R goes...it's a legitimate mid 14 sec car. I've seen 14.3's to 14.7's on avg.
