I need everyones input, please!!!

Well as the title states I need some input. I have recently found myself in some financial trouble and have considered selling my baby. I have considered buying a 240sx and doint the sr20 swap in it to save some $$$. My evo is the best and greatest car I have ever driven and will ever drive. But I am in financial trouble and I think I will need to cut back a bit. I would use the 240 for a daily driver and swap an sr20 in it with all the goodies. This would land me at around 15 grand and save me a bunch on insurance and so on. I would love some input on this. What do you guys think??? is this a viable option or should I buy a hyundai or something like that (this would be effin horrible in my opinion.) I really would love to see what everyone thinks about this idea. Thanks, Phil.

If you're in such dire straits financially, why are you intent on doing a swap with the 240? Why not just buy a beater and deal with a ****ty car until you're stable? Do you want relatively sound financial advice or a fast car? That's what it's going to come down to.

I'd do what the guy above me said. Just get a reliable beater till you can afford an evo again but please don't get a hyundai.

I pretty much agree with the whole getting a beater car deal but.....yeah dont get a hyundai...if anything jus get a comfy used car for a daily driver until you're set. sorry to hear about your situation man..

I have considered doing the sr20 swap because I know 240's real well and the swap would be a breeze for me. I dont want to give up the power that I have with the evo and I still want somthing fun to drive. I could do the 240 with a swap for around 15 grand and my insurance would probobly drop a whole lot with a 240 as opposed to the evo. When I bought my car I was in a great place and now I have taken a different job and I'm just not making the money that I was. The Evo is just such a blast to drive I dont want to miss out on that fun factor, and I think with a 240 I could still have that. The buying a beater idea isnt bad, I could just buy a 240 hell, and slowly build it. I apprecieate everyones advice and please keep it comming!!

You could get an LS1 fbody for 8-9k --- 7-8k cheaper than the 240 swap which would make less power. If you could pay cash, you would only need liability insurance = cheap.
