Mazda MX5 Hardtop Convertible

Mazda has chosen the British International Motor Show to lift the lid on its latest MX-5. The MX-5 Roadster Coupe has a retractable folding hard-top similar to a Mercedes SLK's.

However, unlike the SLK, the Mazda's roof does not take up the whole of the boot. Folding up into a small space just behind the seats.

The boot of the MX-5 Roadster Coupe remains a separate area. Prices for the new MX-5 model will be unveiled at the British show, which starts on July 19.

i don't like the idea, I like the idea of a lighter, cheaper car. I think they ruined what was great about the miata in the first place. Cheap, light, sports car.

it is going to add quite a bit of weight and complexity, but I do like it, maybe Mazda can up the horses a bit to make up for the weight.

I like it, I personally only like hardtop verts anyhow. Cloth verts just look cheap to me, all of them.
