If Porsche decides for some reason upgrade the engine/powerplant on the Cayman then I can affirm it could be perhaps the best Porsche N/A ever made along with the GT3.


Time will tell. I can see the frustration of Porsche manufacturer and Porsche 997 Carrera owners being deeply upset if that ever happens.


As is, the Cayman offers even more performance exciment with less HP and $20000 less..

jdmevo, as I was buying the car, they rolled in a new twin turbo with exactly the same color combination. The owner of the dealership saw me drooling and told me to get in the car. We went for a test drive in it. All I can say is wow! Amazing handling, braking (ceramic brakes) and power!!! Now THAT was a car! Too bad it was 140k

I drove one, and my evo All around is better power on the Cayman just isnt what i would want. Sorry bro! hardtop boxer in my opinion,

But chicks like Porsche's more than evos!

Had a run in with a Carrera GT, but it was on a test drive (doesn't porche require a lump sum even to just test drive them!?) and guy wouldn't play

i have personally driven one. all i can say is wow. that motor sounds so mechanical and raspy its just awesome to hear. i just wish first gear wasn't such a dog.
