Great car!! I just can't believe Porsche made such huge mistake, from what I read the Cayman outperforms the regular 997 Carrera in just about everything, what bothers me the most is that unfortunately Porsche decided to unfairly under power the Cayman in order to not steal/hurt the 997 sales.
If you ask me, this is very unfair. If Cayman was offered with the same Porsche Carrera engine.........

Carlos, I could not agree with you more. I test drove a 911 S as well. You could feel the additional power in the 911, but I was thoroughly impressed with the handling in the Cayman. It is almost telepathic. It is better than my old e36 M3 (which is my personal benchmark).What makes matters worse is that the 2007 Boxter S will have the same engine as the Cayman.
The Boxster has been as you well know the ugly duck of the Porsche family. Porsche couldn't had made any uglier front end specially with the orange turn signal on the oval egg shape headlights.
I couldn't never have bought a older Boxster just for that reason.
The Cayman is just a engineering marvel, the braking is just amazing, I think they come with the 14"rotors already..WOW.
The handling is just amazing, I think it pulls 1.01 on slalom. Then the weight is very low plus the weigh balance is exceptional, last but not least the engine, it can trap 106mph plus despite the not so high hp output.
Definately this car is a winner. It also erased the ugly looking trademark Porsche left with the Boxster making the Cayman a much better choice.
All I can say is that you have a bad *** car and I am happy for you.
