i was looking around streetfire and im sure some of you have seen this video. sure the car i nice, it has nasty power, and the engineering behind the engine im sure is great. to me though this is pointless. the guy cant get on the gas without smoking the tires off. what is the point of 1,000HP (as it claims) if you cant use it?? notice how the car never leaves first gear, and never goes beyond about 45mph. probably because it cant due to spinning tires. nice car but pointless in my opinion.

 

Judging by the look of it, it's a drag car before a street car and they were just playing around on the street. I'm sure it can hook it up at the strip on slicks.

 

Pointless? Have you ever been to a dragway? That has enough power and torque to change the rotation of the planet.

You can tell they are messing around. On the dragway that would be a very very very fast car. Look at the suspension (sits nicely when they get on it), fully caged (you can see it in the beginning), and notice the SC is belted down (that is a serious racer).

Only thing pointless is this thread.

 

yeah im sure its a fast car but thats not interesting to me. matter of opinion i guess.

uh as far as i read this is the other car section. a camaro is a car other than a lancer or evo, therefore i post it here. plus, i love peanut butter id never post anything bad about it.

 

LoL, they should have shown the car on a drag strip not somewhere where it can't be drivable. It's like showing a burn out...yeah sure it's smoking but a freaking yugo can do that too.

 

yeah thats kind of what i was getting at too. im not like some people and say "dooooood the supercharger is belted down that thing must be hellafast." i wanna see it do something before i get excited about it. my car can go 45mph and it doesnt have 1000HP.

it wasnt aimed at anyone. point is, im not impressed by looking at **** go 45mph or by how fast it probably is. when it does something impressive, then ill think its cool.

 

What is the point of any 1000hp car? Practically none of them can hook up on the street. They are still cool though. Actually, what is the point of any fast car for the street -- if you use the power, you will most likely be breaking the law or endangering yourself or others.

With that said, I'd still like to have one -- no need to street race with something like that -- just say it runs mid-high 8's = 'nuff said.
