New competition for my Evo, No more S2000!

No more S2000 (was a great car)!

Well here is the new competition! Althought I will not get to drive it very often, the 350 is nice. Here is my early comparo:

Gas Mileage: Tie (so far)
Insurance: Evo (cheaper!)
Kitty cat factor: Don't matter anymore!
Acceleration: Not broke in but feels strong.
Brakes: EVO
Wife drives all the time: 350

Well that sums it up!

I sold my S2000 and bought an Evo IX. I miss the convertable and the 400whp I had with the LoveFab turbo kit but I dont miss having to store it in the rain/snow, being all cramped up and not being able to put the seat back, trying to stuff two sets of golf clubs in the trunk, and most of all every female I know calling it "cute" or dumb asses that think its a Miata or BMW.

I just got my Evo last Friday in CA and drove back to MI with it. Acceleration is a little weak down low and up high in rpm but it handles great and rides like a Caddy compared to the S2K. Fuel economy blows and the interior, other than the seats, is very cheap but I just cant get enough of the car for some reason. I love it!

Yeah, I still got "my" Evo. I know what you mean about the Miata comments. I like Miatas (had two in past). You always knew car buffs, they would just say how do you like your S2000. I think we will miss dropping the top and the shifter. But I really liked just driving it on weekends, it was her daily driver. She loved it but I think it was getting a little old, especially on cold days and rainy days.

I ordered an 07 IS350 for the wifey about a month ago. Breakwater Blue with Sport Package and Navigation.

We're selling her 350 Z for an IS 350...wtf, why can't car companies use real names for cars anymore instead of the current alphanumeric bs.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

Well we traded, your much better off selling if you have time and patience. It was the last 06 they had on the lot (350 with navigation). Ours has navigation (not the Mark L), cooled seats and spoiler as major options. Basically they gave us about KBB tade in and then nocked off $4000 of the sticker (because 06). I figure they cleared about $1000 (from their invoice) and will sell the S and make another $1-2. We were happy with them, best buying experience we had, no pressure and super nice. My wife was sold on the blue, we saw and 06 blue (it was nice) but she decided on white. We had a 2002 IS 300 when it was new, never had a problem. The IS have exceeded their target sale of 40000 by about 15000 from what I have read. She will love it and you want get to drive it!

I also thought you meant 350Z at first, IS350 is indeed a nice car.
