350Z = Washington Generals
Evo= Harlem Globetrotters
You can't win 'em all...but 99% will do.
To be honest...it's boring sometimes to watch "curly" school all of those whiteboys in Green....gotta throw them a bone once in awhile to make it interesting.
Thanks Car & Driver!
Just teasin'.
I'm just glad that the Evo was compared to something other than an STi. That comparo has been worked to death.

350Z= Boston Red Sox
That means that maybe in another 80 years the 350Z will win again by case of fluke.

I'm not selling my own car short. I simply know its limits. There are better performing cars out there. I'm not going to defend it against a car that is out of its class, regardless of how much I'd like to.
Everyone likes to think their car is the best performer in the world, and nobody likes to hear it when someone says, "This car is better." You would find a very prime example of such behavior on www.iwsti.com. Every single time an STi gets its *** handed to it by a "lesser" machine, it turns into 10 pages of analyzations as to why the cheaper car beat the "almighty" STi.

It was mainly due to the higher demand for sport utilities and the Japanese yen was worth less and less on the US doller. The companies weren't turning enough profit to justify continued production. They started to make SUVs not sport's cars....
Yeah, that's what I thought. The Supra was NEVER close to the C5's performance. The C5 ran a low 13 1/4 mile at nearly 111 mph, while the lazy Supra couldn't crack a 13.7 @ 105 mph. The 300 ZXTT ran in the 14s! The 3000 GT VR4 was lucky to run 14.20s!
And yeah, that's right, they weren't turning enough profit. Guess why. Oh, that's right, America, their #1 market, didn't want'em!

Honestly, the C5 which came out in 97 damn well better be faster than the Supra which came out in 91? Oh, just slap on a boost controller and forget about that faster part.
Oh, it's also funny how stock Supras still pull $50k. Good luck selling a C5 for that much.

50k for a Supra!
Not making money? Oh, you mean Mitsubishi's making money? When did that happen?

Yeah, scary that Supras are pulling that much used. Stock I might add.... worth more stock than modded. Same deal with 3rd gen RX7s; completey stock ones with low miles (like 20k-30k) are pulling in $35k.

And wherever these $50k Supras are, I'd sure like to see'em, because the low mileage ones here are only going for around 21k, and that's for one in pristine condition.
But yes, the VR4 was a heavy load of pig crap, but it was also the nicest looking of the bunch, followed by the 300ZX and the RX7, and then the Supra. The Supra is by far the ugliest of the bunch.
It's a shame the VR4 was so heavy, because it's a gorgeous car. It still looks good today, and has definitely aged well.

A very low mileage RX7 (third gen) would most definitely be in the $30K range. We're talking under 20K miles. Under 50K, they'd be right around 20 to 25K depending on model, year, etc...A typical high mileage mostly stock third gen runs $15K in decent condition.
And the RX7 is far and away the most aesthetically pleasing out of all the mid 90's JDM supercars. VR4? Please....

The VR4 looks great...save for the latest models with the HUGE spoilers on them.

I'll agree to disagree on that one. The 7 is classic and timeless whereas the 300 looks dated. It looks like it's from the mid 90's no matter what you do to it. I still have people ask me if my 7 is a new design. Most don't even know what it is and will circle it several times in the parking lot to admire. I've even had senior citizens do this.
keep in mind that the 350 has a bigger displacement than our evo's.. thus giving it a slight advantage coz he can open it up more.. i dunno about the weight ?. are they lighter than us?/..
for me these are the probable 4 reasons why?..
1. 350 has a bigger displacement
2. power to weight
3. they are hyping up the 350 z
4. i think driver error..
