Well, that's the law. Don't get involved in a street race, don't cause someone to wreck... messing with another driver on the road can be a recipe for disaster... I'm sure no one intended for things to turn out this way... but it's a lesson for those who need to hear it.

dangg. RIP, I don't think the other guy deserves manslaughter charge because he didn't hit the M3. He was just racing it. And for all we know, the guy who died could've been the one to challenge his friend.

Its sad for the parents, but I dont pitty the morons involved one bit.

Typical OC rich kids, I've seen/known way too many of them. They think they are the center of the universe because their parents have too much money and instead of rasing their kids with care, they throw money at thier kids.

18yr old with a M3, cant even handle it and plows off the road doing 90? With two passengers none the less? Darwinism at its finest.

The manslaughter charges are bull**** to boot.

That's a good reason rich mommies and daddies shouldn't buy their kids a fast car for their first car. Too much teptation, peer pressure and, car. Too little fear, common sense, better judgement and, respect for life at that age.

I feel bad for all the people everyone involved especially the girl(s) that was a passenger in the BMW.

I agree the manslaughter charge is kind of BS. I'm totally against street racing but, I'm pretty sure for most people knowing that you are partially responsible for destroying a group of peoples lives is worse than any jail time.

thats retarded racing or not the guy not involved in the accident shouldnt be charged with anything other than maybe street racing. manslaughter because the other guy decided to race and crash is retarded. he didnt make the other guy race that guy did it on his own.

truly sad story...I know that I was blessed to have gotten past my youth without any consequences to all the stupid things I did. Matter of maturity, not stupidity.

My 1st thought was,"what the heck is an 18 year old doing driving a BMW M-3?!". While it's truly a tragic situation, someone that young and inexperianced has no business driving a high performance vehicle on the street!

this is the sort of reason, we are working with our local schools to develop driver education classes where we live...

Kids need to know the consequences of this behavior, but if you cant prevent them from doing it, they should atleast have a better understanding of controlling a vehicle in a variety of situations.

terrible

that IS a very sad story....No, i dont think the other guy should be charged. Like Evol Edo said, he should be charged with speeding, reckless/careless driving, street racing, etc, but not vehicular manslaughter. That is way too harsh for that. He didnt run anyone over or anything. He was just street racing. Yeah, I am from Miami, but I have friends over in Cali and they say all those OC people are spoiled and cocky. I dont know the kid that died but who knows, he may have been like that. I feel sorry/bad for the parents, family, and friends, but he shouldnt have been doing that if he was not experienced. And being 18 years old, you dont have much experience or driving skills.....God Bless and RIP
