In most states open wheels = not legal. Gotta get fenders on that thing.

I would be willing to bet shock value aside it wouldn't be much fun on the street. With a ride height of just over an inch and totally uncomprimising suspension not to mention I'm sure it overheats unless moving quite quickly you wouldn't drive it far.

I've actually gotten a chance to drive open wheel cars on the street and I wouldn't want to do it again unless it was under controlled conditions. I worked on the worst racing movie ever (Driven and I will not admit that again).

At one point they needed me to drive one of the cars up to the set in the middle of downtown Toronto from a parking lot a few block away. The cop leading the way took a wrong turn and we ended up in normal traffic for a second. It isn't until you are about eye level with the center cap of Miata's wheel that you realize "No one along side me is going to see me in this thing I hope I don't get run over." At least you know they would hear it.

It would definitely be fun to bring out to the track though.

no windshield = scary. I see too many teen girls rolling up to stop lights on cell phones and almost rear end full size SUV's. I would really be scared in that.

Unfortunately I do (all to well).

They were supposed to be Champ cars but, were basically more like late models that looked something like a Champ car.
