this one time i was lucky to have ran next to a black on black c6z06 racing a black Ford GT...oh man those thing f*cking move on the highway, it was just insane. the z06 had some sort of exhaust also, the sound....i almost had to pull over to slow down my heartbeat

That's like saying a good race would be Garth's 7.9@180mph+ second street TT Viper vs AMS EVO 8.97@165 it wouldn't even be a race.

The car in the video was a C5 Z06. The 2005 models used polycarbonate laminate which had a few problems - GM then switched to a "triple bonding" technique and all cars leaving the factory after about August 3, 2006 have SMC panals. Anyone with the 2005 polycarbonate laminate can have it replaced by SMC panels via the recall.

hasn't gottan tuned yet and he's trapping 124 on pump.. idk how much the tune is going to do... be it rapes me nasty style. pretty stick tires.. he has full traction at 25 mph after a little warm up.
just as tunable and probably more fun than the evo. drag strips are alot cheaper and more accesible than road course's. and those cars dont get as punished as ours do from launching. he has 70k on it and still stock clutch with all that power.

my friend has one with headers, no cat, catback, cam, 3.37 gear, drag radials and intake

z06s are 50-60k new, evos are only 25-35k new..
the z06 has TWICE the motor. the evo just needs a real turbo :P gt35r or something to keep up with the z06.
I used to roll z06s in my ITR with only 450whp.

and im saying... if he likes drag racing the evo is not a drag car.. slicks on almost a any chevy v8 = 1.3-1.4 60' so opps there goes awd advantage lol
the evo is NOT a drag car, even though it clearly holds its own..its a road course car. and even on a road course. vettes tear it up. if you want to say something like the evo just needs work... i have many friends with civics and 240's that paid less than 10k for the entire package that would rape a evo with a 35r in almost every situation. but thats not what we're doing...
z06 > evo for drag racing... nothign to argue about
