What you guys think of my choice

Hi, I got problem with my Colt 91 lately and i'm going to get rid of it. Now, I need a new ride and I was thinking to get the new Mazda6. What do you guys think of that car? I'm planning to get the GS-V6 with 220HP. I have try the car and it feels pretty fast, handle pretty well. Nearly like the Lancer. But it's kinda bigger than a Lancer.

If I post here, it's because I want to know if you guys think of another car in the same price range that would be better. I'm planning to have kids in a couple of years. So I need a sedan. I want a car that feel and go fast cause I like speed. Guess it's my age (22). I'm also planning to buy the car and keep it for like 10 years, so I need something reliable.

Thx for reading. I'm waiting for your suggestions.

WiDeFiRE

By the way, I can't wait to get the Lancer Ralliart... My car is dying kinda fast...

Mazda 6s

If I've 23k I'd definitely go for Mazda 6s.

Great look, great performance.
Definitely the best in its level.

In that price range and reliability, try the Honda Accord or:

Mazdaspeed Protege
Mitsubishi Galant
Nissan Altima
Toyota Camry

More here: http://edmunds.com/new/pricerange/15...x.content..0.*

The Mazda 6 is the best in HP in that kind of price range. I'd go with the Mazda 6. Good luck!

The Mazda 6 is a nice car, the only other sedan I would consider is the G35 but it's a wee bit more

Just got back from the dealer. Man that car kicks ***. The Eclipse V6 is a slow cow compare to this...

I can't believe that fast for that price. It's nearly insane!

So, guess what. I bought it.

Going to check for financing tomorrow and see if I can get it.

Hope it's going to work!
Wish me luck!

Peace all!

Mazda tweak the engine, it's built by Ford, but it's not a "real" Ford. So I guess it should be oki. Anyway, Ford isn't that bad.

My girlfriend has a Mazda6s, V-6 with manual shifter, sports and Bose stereo packages and leather and let me tell you, it's nice!! She test drove the auto and sportronic tranmissions but thought they were crap. On the occasion when the stars are aligned right, she lets me drive it and I'm very impressed.

At $24K it's approaching WRX prices but it's also fully loaded. A good deal all around IMO. Very linear pull all the way to redline (she was asleep ), not the fastest car you'll get for that price but very impressive none the less. It handles very well and it'll take any ricer Civic that tries to race her.

Good luck with it and hope you have as much fun and she does with her car!

I know WiDeFiRE is going to get it but for future reference, a quick comparison to the other cars mentioned.

Honda Accord - A little more HP but bland Honda styling.
Mazdaspeed Protege - Another nice car by Mazda but prone to problems. (Tranny noise, cracked windshield. See protege forums)
Mitsubishi Galant - Nice looking but no standard tranny?
Nissan Altima - Pricey when loaded
Toyota Camry - Uh....you want to drive your mom's car?

Thx a lot guys! Yes I'm going to get her.

I put money down yesterday to get that baby pretty soon. But I'm not sure if I will pass on financing. We will see today or tomorrow. Hope I'll be able to get a blue, in the worst case, I'm gonna get the dark grey, looks badass too.

Have a good day guys!
Peace!

widefire, good luck with trying to a blue one! they look really sweet but apparently they don't seem to make blue with a v-6, sport package and standard tranny. or maybe they just didn't ship them to texas!

Good news and bad news...

Good news is that my credit was good cause I will get the car.
Bad news is I will get a 4-cyl because my insurance will be in the 3400$/year range if I get the 6... And they are 1700$/year with the 4 cyl. So **** it, I get the 4... hehe

Now I'm looking for some mod to add some punch to my new toy like a cold air intake and maybe a cat-back exhaust. But there's not a lot of stuff out there for the Mazda 6/Atenza...

Anyway, if you have any good site to help me out that would rock!

Peace!
