Outlander vs. Cx-7 (your opinion)

Hey everyone and welcome to another grand discussion of car vs. car. In today’s round we have the 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander - 2wd but fully loaded, vs. the 2007 Mazda Cx-7, same equipment. Heh sorry for the intro, I guess I’m feeling kind of creative this morning.

Any who I’m looking for a new car when mine sells and these are the two I have narrowed it down too. The problem is that I like things about both of them. For example I am in love with the nav unit and 30 gig hard drive in the outlander, but the Cx-7 has an overall more luxurious look to it. So for now ill try to get your guys opinion; if you were in the market for a crossover what one would you get?

well, if you still want your turbo charger, then i would go with the cx7, i recently picked up a mazda speed 3, and its great. but the outlander right now from what i see on the commercials looks soo nice. have you test driven both?

I am not a fan of all the black plastic bits on the front of the cx7.

I have driven both and they both handel very well for a "suv." The problem is that they are very simular. One of the problems with the mazda is you need premieum gas, yay for turbos, but the outlander puts out just 20 less hp with regular.

I don't really trust Mazda's build quality. I'm not saying that Mitsubishis are bulletproof, it's just that I have friends who own a RX-8 and a Mazdaspeed 6, and there has been quite a few problems with their cars.

i test drove both cuz i considered trading in my evo for either one of them.. but i ended up keeping the evo personally i like the outlander better.. cost less too.. the cx7 is very nice also but i like the real SUV look of the outlander more... plus there're too many cx7s out there... and the mitsubishi navi is unbelievably easy to use.
